Traction, Revenue, and Staffing Updates

Whew! We've been busy the last couple months! Since I went full-time, things have really taken off, and our company looks quite a bit different now than it did when we launched this campaign in August--all for the better.

Here are some high-level updates, and we'll have one more investor webinar with more detail on all of this before the Christmas/New Year holidays, so stay tuned.

Traction:

The above numbers are up from August as follows:

August: 1800 paying customers ---> December: 2500 paying customers

August: 250K website visitors/mo. ---> December: 500K website visitors/mo .

August: 370% 2020 YoY growth pace ----> December: 700%+ 2020 YoY actual growth

August: 1 commercial pilot ---> December: 3 commercial contracts

This is how it translates into revenue....

Revenue:

Our success in November and December was due mostly to gaining new commercial services contracts. We discovered that there is a growing market for custom content rating services: several types of organizations pay us to rate the news that they need rated.

Though these are not recurring revenue figures yet, we anticipate being able to convert many of these initial service contracts to significant recurring ones in 2021. We'll be able to rate A TON of news content.

Staffing:

Thanks to our investors and our new revenue sources, we've been able to hire and train up analysts to meet demand just in time to execute on these opportunities. Ad Fontes currently has four full-time employees and five part-time employees, and a total of 42 analysts, the majority of whom are paid on an hourly, contract basis.

These analysts are politically balanced left, right, and center, and we have been able to substantially increase our racial and ethnic diversity with our most recent analyst cohort. Diversity of all kinds is fundamental to mitigating our own biases.

We will likely need to hire and train many more analysts in the coming months. It's an exciting time of growth for us and we are grateful for helping us make that happen!
