Today we reached $80,000 committed from 77 investors. That puts our crowdfunding campaign at 53% of the $150k minimum. A few days after the minimum is in the escrow account, Wind Harvest can wire the deposit so that Weissenborn A/S in Denmark can start making v3.1 of our turbine. With a little help, we can make that payment in the next week or so and see our pilot project turbine installed and collecting data at the Nordic Folkecenter in early spring.
Raising the minimum will be a huge milestone and give us time to raise the full $3M in this offering. Crowdfunding campaigns that reach their minimum can gain momentum pretty quickly. We won’t be surprised if the $600,000 early bird special notes (10% interest) closes by the end of November. Achieving that milestone ensures the engineering and modeling of v3.2 is completed and ready for manufacturing. When we hit the $1M raised marker, we can order v3.2 and see it installed one meter next to v3.1 by the end of summer. Then we can order ~25 turbines for the projects we have in development.
Our offering may go much quicker than any of us imagine because there are few ways for investors to get an equity stake in a company in our stage of technology commercialization. If you were thinking of telling friends about this investment opportunity, you should probably do it sooner than later. You are welcome to forward this email to your friends and network. You can also schedule a time to talk with me or someone else on the team.
Thank you for your support. We will soon be doubling the energy of wind farms and much more.
