Hello Wefunder Investors,

We’ve now almost concluded the first month since the WeFunder third round financing was closed. As in previous months, I wanted to provide you with an update on the many things happening with the OodlesDeals mobile app, and overall at the company.

The entire Oodles management team is laser-focused on the #supportLocal mission we announced several months back, playing our unique role in helping restauranteurs across the country revitalize their businesses from the economic devastation that the CoronaVirus Pandemic has caused.

#supportEvanston Restaurant Week Highlighted Black Owned Restaurants

In my last month’s update, I mentioned that plans were underway for an African-American restaurant focused Restaurant Week. We know that African-American entrepreneurs, including restaurant owners, have been disproportionately economically affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic. The Oodles Management team saw an opportunity to help grow awareness for black-owned restaurants with local users on the OodlesDeals app.

We focused on Evanston, IL, where we recently completed a #supportEvanston Restaurant Week in partnership with the Evanston Chamber of Commerce & the Black Business Consortium, highlighting Black-owned restaurants around town. All restaurants featured during #supportEvanston Restaurant Week were new to the OodlesDeals app, and joined as OodlesDeals vendor-partners knowing they would benefit in awareness from the app-based and overall marketing plan the Oodles Marketing team and our partner organizations were planning for #supportEvanston Restaurant Week.

The effects of this Pandemic are going to be felt for a long period of time, and the Oodles Management team is committed to supporting all our customers, both our existing and new restaurant partners. In particular, the Oodles Sales team will continue offering all African-American owned restaurants on the app our service free-of-charge through the Pandemic.

#supportLocal Marketing Activities Grow In Targeting Approach And Momentum

As the Oodles Sales team grows its enlistment of new restaurants as part of our company’s #supportLocal initiative, the Oodles Marketing team is busy creating new marketing programs, both to current users on the OodlesDeals app in each of the towns where we are present, and in attracting new users to sign-up on the app.

For current users of the app, app-driven marketing campaigns include in-app messaging focusing on Restaurants or Deals of the Day, and Refer-A-Friend Promotions that enable current users to invite their friends to learn more about the promotion, sign-up on OodlesDeals and eat from the promoted restaurants.

These promotions have the OodlesDeals benefit of growth in sign-ups for the app, from the friends who were invited to these promotions. As you know, the SCORCHER process of enabling users to invite friends and spend time together is a patented protected one, and is what makes the OodlesDeals app truly unique and added-value to use.

Direct mail campaigns targeting new users in each of the towns where we execute a #supportLocal Restaurant Week are also being executed.

Additional #supportLocal Restaurant Week Plans Underway

Given the response to #supportChico Restaurant Week in September, and #supportEvanston Restaurant Week in October, plans are underway for several new #supportLocal Restaurant Weeks in our partner communities, all with similar marketing plans. The Oodles Sales team is busy creating awareness of the upcoming Restaurant Weeks with restaurants in each of the towns where they are planned, signing-up restaurants struggling during this time of crisis, to benefit from the consumer awareness these marketing activities generate.

I will provide detail of these initiatives in upcoming updates. This is a model we plan on replicatiing periodically with every community with whom we partner. The Oodles Management team is committed to help local communities and restaurants during this time of extreme need — this is our pledge to #supportlocal.

On behalf of Asheesh and the entire OodlesDeals Management team, I ask you to stay healthy, and stay safe during this time of crisis.

We are all in this together.
