We're Still Afloat

Hello investors, and sorry for the delay in updates and payments. As you can imagine, times have been extremely challenging and we're just doing our best to keep the business up and running. We were lucky enough to only have to close down entirely for a few days at the start of quarantine. Since then, we have been open for to-go business and more recently, were able to open our patio as well. The indoor taphouse remains closed.

Right now the biggest struggle in bringing in customers. Our sales are down over 50% from last year at this time. Sales are relatively steady, despite terrible air quality (due to the California fires). Fortunately, our landlord has been actively working with us to help keep our doors open. Without this, there is no way we would still have our doors open, so we are very appreciative.

Last year we lobbeyed the American Cider Association to bring their annual national conference, CiderCon to Oakland and in January it was held in Downtown Oakland, blocks from the taphouse. We had a special event planned at Crooked City Cider every night from cider based trivia to cider cocktails. It was an absolute blast and helped make January our most successful month...ever! Things were looking up and we were starting to think about opening a second location and exploring starting up production again....and then, well, you know. COVID-19.

Alas, we are back to square one- just trying to stay afloat. We offer online orders for curbside pickup and delivery through GrubHub. Many people are asking how they can continue to support us, and lucky for you there are many ways! The easiest way is visiting our website to purchase a gift card (click here). This allows us to put your funds to immediate use, buying more inventory, paying staff, and keeping the lights on (literally). Additionally, we still need all the word of mouth that we can get, so share with your friends and family, Crooked City Cider is OPEN! Come patronize us as often as you are able, and post about that visit on social media.

We need all the help we can get from our community in order to continue our business and thank you for your continued support (and patience) as we continue to work our way through this challenging stage.
