Silent as the Grave Movie

Investor Update

September 2020

Hello Team,

Over the summer we’ve continued to strategize our production plan for Silent as the Grave. We had been planning to start principal photography this winter using the $108K in investor funds in the account. However, after going over and over the numbers with our production manager, Alex Kudrna, we’ve determined that in order to do the film justice we need to raise about $90K more (which would get us just beyond original fundraising goal.) Part of this is due to the added costs of Covid-19 safety procedures but mostly it is due to our commitment to make the best film possible without cutting corners that would negatively effect the production values.

We were recently approached by an interested party with a proposal to create transmedia products related to Silent as the Grave as a way to generate income and expand our fan base ahead of a film release. Transmedia projects are a way to expand the reach of a project by creating ancillary products related to the film “universe” such as books, video games etc. Income generated from sales of one or more ancillary products could generate direct income to be used for the feature film production as well as publicity, leading to new investors. Currently we are seeking wisdom about this proposal and will keep you informed.

We are thrilled to report that the script for SATG went as far as the finalist round in the Screen Craft Film Fund competition. Although we didn’t make the final cut, we are honored by this recognition of the quality of our script.

We are continuing to move strategically and in faith, one step at a time to bring the project to fruition in a timely manner.

We continue to be grateful for your support and investment in this project!

Sincerely,

Brad Podowski, Bill Carroll & Team
