One of the hidden gems of World War II is the almost forgotten epic true story of the extraordinary courage and unparalleled bravery of the Philippine Army 61st Division soldiers/guerrillas under Col. Macario Peralta who helped the US Army 40th Infantry Division easily defeat the Japanese Imperial Forces in Panay Island, central Philippines. 

At the historical briefing during the VIP tour and reception that the US Army 40th ID Headquarters in Los Alamitos, California exclusively held for #InspireStudios1, we learned that the American forces were expecting a strong resistance and huge casualties when they landed in Tigbauan, Iloilo. However, to their astonishment there was little resistance and almost a “walk in the park” with low casualties. All because the gallant soldiers/guerrillas of the Philippine Army’s 61st Division has controlled most of Panay Island and are in the process of totally defeating the much superior-armed Japanese Imperial Army. The US Army credited the victory over the Japanese in Panay Island mainly to the bravery of the Philippine Army. And yet this is almost virtually unknown to the world nor is it highlighted in the annals of epic battles of WWII.

Our history-in-the-making, FIRST Hollywood-Philippines global motion picture will show the world uncommon heroism not only of the American soldiers who helped liberate the Philippines but more so the unparalleled bravery of the Filipino warriors who laid the ground work and paid dearly with their own lives for the ultimate defeat of the Japanese! #FreedomFightersFilm will show the world the epic true story of the indispensable bravery and incredible sacrifice of the Filipino guerrillas that led to the victory of the Allied Forces over Japanese Forces! 

For the first time in the history of Hollywood war movies, #FreedomFightersFilm will feature the never before seen unparalleled bond of brotherhood between the US Army 40th ID and the Philippine Army 61st Division giving equal credit and honor to both groups of gallant warriors!!! And yes, this may sound ambitious but we DO envision #FreedomFightersFilm to be the Pacific equivalent of the European WWII blockbuster, Band of Brothers!!!
