Is COVID-19 making the environment more or less important to consumers?

A recent survey conducted by an industry leading data and insights provider indicated yes! And not just for the environment in general, but for food waste specifically.

  • 67% indicated that the environment is more important to them today than it was in 2019
  • 36% are paying more attention to food waste compared to typical 2019 grocery shopping

The report also flagged creative solutions for upcycling ingredients and reducing waste as a macro-trend. Perhaps most exciting of all, ReGrained's Puffs were used as the example trendsetter!
