¡La Viuda!

Ok, so a few of you have asked, “What’s the deal with the KOKORO Playing Cards?”

Well, as we were putting together ideas of investor perks, our team wanted to design something that could be enjoyed while sipping your favorite KOKORO Spirit. Playing cards immediately came to my mind with fond memories of drinking tequila with my Mexican cousins (that’s a story for another day) and playing La Viuda (The Widow) for hours and hours into the early mornings during our rare, extended family gatherings. La Viuda is a Mexican variation of poker that’s a ton of fun to play, but it got us thinking about other culturally unique card games from around the world. As part of the KOKORO experience, we’re building a section of our website that will be dedicated to providing rules to those games. Even though a lot of us are stuck playing Solitare right now, we are all looking forward to sitting down with loved ones and playing cards again, so please drop us a line at [email protected] and suggest any unique card games you think would be fun to include!

We’re excited to give our investors a sneak peek of our custom set of KOKORO playing cards and are honored to have San Francisco artist, Sean Hipkin, illustrate and design our entire deck. We plan to begin selling our playing cards and have them ready for perks level investors by the time our award-winning, Tequila Plata is ready to ship (more on that timing soon!).

In the meantime, please continue to share your excitement of being a KOKORO investor with everyone you know. We need each and every one of you to help us reach our fundraising goal. KOKORO Spirits was founded on an ideology of celebrating community and we aren’t a community without you.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

-Howard
