The initial seed of Treefort was planted by the four founders, but that quickly grew with the addition of seven community members we refer to as the Founding Team who helped with most of the early heavy lifting and development of the design of the festival in its first year. The full team has grown steadily over the years and now, at its peak, hits over 100 team members that run the festival in collaboration with our 700+ volunteers, vendors, production companies, and other community partners.
Our Leadership Team is a mix of the founders, owners and core operations leads. The primary focus of the Leadership Team is to manage the sustainability of the business, steer the general direction, keep the organization mission-aligned and maintain the environment for the rest of the team to thrive. The general structure of the forts and departments is more of a self-managed teams style - each having a lot of autonomy and room from team members to introduce their own ideas and creativity.
Our greatest asset is our team and the spirit of comradery, collaboration, freedom and interdependence that we work hard to maintain and foster.
