Dr. Jacobson is a distinguished Clinical Psychologist who has been treating adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 20 years. He is CEO of Italian Home for Children which provides an integrated network of powerful and effective programs to help children and families. Dr. Jacobson was one of our first investors on Wefunder. He found us even before our campaign went live. He immediately understood our vision to use immersive technology to connect us to our bodies and to each-other. We are excited about him seeing the potential of Meu solving some of the problems that are caused by our use of current social networks. He understands that pressing a "Like" button on a 2D image that focuses on someone's external looks does not build intimacy or trust and that the prosocial joint actions and games in 3D physical space that Meu focuses can increase the bandwidth of human connection. As a clinical psychologist Dr. Jacobson is on the front line dealing with mental health difficulties stemming from "social distancing" due to Covid-19 and will be helping us reach communities and families in need of new technologies to help keep them happy, healthy and connected. His experience and feedback will help hold us true to our vision to create a social platform that is aligned to our users' well-being allowing them to express their emotions with motions and to explore and share deeper parts of themselves. His ideas have already expanded the possible use case for our future API. Dr. Jacobson is also a highly respected member of the Wefunder community and has invested in 27 startups.
