Hockey Sticking in real time

Tribe Pilot has been a passion of mine for three years now. As every entrepreneur knows, there’s a huge amount of emotion wound up in starting a company, and there’s really no way to describe it unless you’ve been through the ringer yourself. It’s happened slowly, and only now that I can look back and see the tracks we’ve laid do I realize how far we have come.

The greatest feeling of this journey is taking place in real-time right now.

For three years, we’ve been dreaming of the day when the product turns from vision to reality. There are so many metrics wound up in that simple statement-- "dream to reality"-- but perhaps the best way to see our progress is by measuring the metric that matters most: The number of people we’ve never met, who either see an advertisement or learn about Tribe Pilot from a friend, then download the app, start an adventure, and purchase a pro membership.

It’s taken a small-but-dedicated team a lot of hard work to make this happen. And now, we’re seeing the evidence of this work in real time, as visualized in this simple chart.

Pro upgrades over time is a week-by-week count of the number of users that upgrade. As you can see we are growing fast, and the curve is pointing in exactly the right direction; we’re averaging well over 25 percent week-over-week growth, just as we’re entering the summer season!
