The Actual Place

A non-native of North Carolina, some years ago I was enlightened about an unusual spot in the state from a native North Carolinian. Bare. Devoid. Strange. Ghostly. Ghastly. Nightmarish.  Since we were working on another film and I was always keeping my ear cleaned out to hear about the next opportunity, the light bulb went off in my head when I first heard the tale. The marketing angle cannot be passed up. Lovers of horror films love it even more when it's based on actual legends and accounts. However far out they may be, one cannot appreciate the eerie bone chilling effects that make their way into our bones when we think about it. So in the spirit of The Exorcist. Amityville Horror.
