KinectAir feels lift!

To our dear investors and friends,

It has been a highly productive time for all of the team at KinectAir as we work on our App and apply for Certification. We plan to release a number of updates in the coming weeks so keep a look out!

FAA certification is underway!

Every commercial aviation company has to ‘get its wings’. In our case this is the certification to wholly operate flights. A Part 135 operator provides commercial, non-scheduled aircraft operations – such as private air charter and air taxi flights.

Since we started chartering flights through our trusted Part 135 'partner operators' in the Pacific Northwest, we have learned a lot about our travellers and the focused needs for our software. We converted new customers who saw our story through our new website that we launched in mid-June. We also had near 100% referrals from our first customers... which is just awesome! Every single customer represents huge value for us and builds the community of advocates we want to fly ever bigger!

From now on, we plan to operate aircraft using our own KinectAir certificate and control the experience from end to end. We're delighted to tell you that this process is filed with the FAA and we work towards a licence to fly in the USA! It is a big milestone for us to get our Part 135 and requires a lot of accurate and detailed work. We are in constant communications with the Flight Standards District Offices (FSDO) to push this forward!

Software update

Since the start of June we began work on the KinectAir App and continue to think about functionality. We will shortly be releasing a software update that will enable people to discover what flying with KinectAir will be like. From discovering airports near home or close to the destination, to routing for different aircraft types, flight time and affordability. This web release will enable us to learn more about where we are needed most. At the same time giving people the opportunity to discover new connectivity to the people, places and communities they want in their lives. More on that exciting update next week.

Finally, in the last news we shared our partnership with VoltAero. That proved very hot news for the aviation community. We saw some 20+ articles printed and online in AIN News, Flight International, Flying Magazine, 50SkyShades and more!

Thank you for your continued support!
