I’ve been wanting to write this blog for a few weeks now, but given the state of things in the world, it always seemed like the wrong time to post. This year has had a variety of twists and turns, most of which we could never have predicted. And as an artist, it’s in these times that I feel like the necessity of art and entertainment feels all the more pressing. How many of us have found solace during these tumultuous times in our new favorite movie or TV show? Art can challenge our beliefs and open us up to new worlds, as well as provide comfort and joy. I feel so privileged to work in film and the experience of making this film has been inspiring, particularly in this difficult time.

In the weeks since we’ve wrapped up our WeFunder campaign, we’ve continued editing the film and sourcing our soundtrack. We have a few remaining pick-up shots to shoot in July before we picture lock our film. From there, we move into sound design, score, and color. With each additional step, we’ve gotten to witness the film get better and better. I seriously cannot wait until you get to see it and enjoy it with us!

What steps of the process do you want to learn about? Do you have any questions for our cast and crew? In the coming months, we hope to feature members of our team so you can learn more about the behind-the-scenes of making a feature film. Let us know what you’d like to know!

Sending best wishes to you, from our entire team. We hope that you are staying safe and well.
