A number of people have asked about the post pandemic company and what that looks like. By investing in REACH you will get equity in the underlying company.

Here is our wefunder campaign pre pandemic, that we put on hold while creating REACH.. I hope it helps explain a bit more about our company, our opportunity and why you should be part of the journey.

Online companies like ACV Auctions, Manheim Marketplace and Carvana have disrupted the way we buy and sell vehicles. These suppliers, and many more like them, allow customers to buy a vehicle from anywhere and deliver everywhere within a guaranteed time-frame, even the next day in some cases! This is awesome and just what we all want, right?. Who seriously enjoys the 6-8 hour experience of buying a vehicle at the dealership?

Buyers now have access to an infinitely available inventory of vehicles through secure online systems making selecting and buying a car super simple. Now that I can buy a car anywhere I need it delivered everywhere and this is what is changing a 100 year old industry.

We saw this seismic shift in delivery logistics early and developed the technology to drive the change to "deliver everywhere automotive logistics".

So how does this work?

OK, so I get they've made the match between the buyer and the seller, they even say they can get it to you very quickly. But how does the car actually get from A to B safely, efficiently, and profitably. Well, this is called Automotive Logistics and these market changes are disrupting how cars have been delivered since Henry Ford first mass produced the Motel T back in 1908

The delivery of the car hasn't changed much

We call this change “Buy anywhere, deliver everywhere” and it has a massive impact on how vehicles are delivered today. Traditionally buyers would either purchase from a local dealer or local auction and deliver fairly short distances OR if making a long-distance purchase, they were forced to buy a full-load of vehicles, potentially eroding profitability.

The “deliver everywhere” model demands longer distances, more stops, smaller loads and better planning. To solve the complex “deliver everywhere” model you need standardization, communication, visibility and a network of geographically connected carriers.

In 2018 we realized this issue was only going to become more complex, uglier, harder and an opportunity for us. This new world of “deliver everywhere” required new logistics tools, better load visibility and data communications. Paper, fax, email and phone calls will no longer be adequate, multiple standalone shipper apps and delivery portals also did not solve the problem. What was needed was interconnectivity between Shippers, Brokers, Carriers and Drivers, and a network of connected companies using open standards to facilitate the flow of information.

It is estimated that 40+ million used car movements happen every year. There are over 10 million vehicles sold through the auction systems; thousands of used car dealers are continuously buying, selling and swapping millions of vehicles while car rental companies are forever repositioning and selling stock. The fight for carriers, logistic information and certainty of delivery was increasing and becoming more fragmented.

New and used car sales

It is our view (and we have invested over $2m in development so far) that we needed to put our arms around the carrier community to help connect them to these shippers in a unified and consistent manner. Shippers want certainty and consistency of delivery and carriers need to comply or they won't get the work. We believe a network of connected carriers using common technology and business processes enables all parties to do better business.

What we have done is give car shippers simple access to a consistent and reliable network of technology enabled carriers and drivers. In 2018 we started developing Carrier Exchange, to connect systems together to allow data to flow, vinCARRIER, to allow small carriers to connect to the network so that carriers can offer their capabilities and services to shippers in a way that helps both parties and vinDISPATCH to allow shippers to have delivery and capacity visibility. This software is live and in use today by over 3500 trucks delivering 3m vehicles per annum.

We already have 1500 Auto haul Companies registered on the system which amounts to over 3500 trucks capable of moving vehicles. We now need to get the word out to get Shippers, Carriers and Brokers connected to this network. Your investment will be used to significantly increase our Sales and marketing capabilities to grow the network and spread the word.

What is the opportunity?

Changes this big don’t come about that often.

The car is our second most cherished asset and automotive logistics is at the heart of getting it to us, the buying and selling of cars continues to increase and billions of dollars each year is spent to move them. Naysayers will say cars will deliver themselves, logic says it is highly unlikely we will ever legislate for an empty vehicle to drive on the roads. Our enablement technology is only the beginning of revenue potentials as data is information and information is the life blood of logistics.

Information age

Without a doubt large logistics companies will want to purchase the Car Delivery Network, will it be a $150m or £500m company, only time will tell. In the next 5 years we believe it will be a $50m business generating significant revenues and returning dividends to its investors.

Your opportunity is to get in on the ground floor and help us to shape this change for the good of all. We intend to make at least 40% of the network owned by its users and external investors as a network needs advocates and a voice. This round is capped to 20% of the company, we expect to have 2 more rounds at higher valuations in 2021/22.

Our History

Car Delivery Network Ltd was established in 2010 in the United Kingdom. We established the first vehicle delivery marketplace providing vehicle logistics tools to Shippers and Carriers. The software has evolved over the last 9 years to what we have today. We are 100% focused on automotive logistics and software development, out team are all software developers and autologistics experts.

In 2013 we established Car Delivery Network Inc in the USA. We saw the opportunity to convert the paper process of delivering vehicles in the new/OEM car space to mobile app and electronic proof of delivery to improve visibility and control of the supply chain. We created the first mobile application in car haul that allowed any carrier to deliver any OEM vehicle - one app used by multiple carriers for multiple shippers.

This simple use of an app revolutionised the new car space, it has improved productivity, asset optimisation and visibility of the supply chain. The company has won 4 IT innovation awards in automotive logistics, has firmly established our brand and technology in the new car space and the team was behind the standardization of ePoD and electronic data interchange in new car delivery. Our innovation was described as "the biggest change in new car logistics since over wheel tie downs replaced chains".

Over the last 7 years, this technology has been copied by many shippers in the used car space resulting in a proliferation of apps that help the shippers get the information they need but has made the carriers’ job more complex and costly. Right idea but wrong execution. In 2018 we decided to right this wrong.

The future

The company generated around $500k in recurring revenue in 2019, we have also raised over $2m in investment and have invested all of it back into our technology platform, service delivery and intellectual property. We have completed the majority of the service delivery platform and are now evolving from a technology driven company to a service provider and sales and marketing organization.

Sales and Marketing

Our drive in 2020/21 will be to leverage the software platform to a revenue generating engine providing our customers with innovative technology, unparalleled customer service and unlimited opportunity. Our success will be measured by the number of vehicles, trucks and customers who utilise the platform, its value will be in the size of the network and the number of companies connected.

A special note to Car Haulers (carriers)

We live and breath car hauling just like you, our customers are the big boys (US Autologistics, Hansens, Supreme..) and the little guys, like diesel dave. We know that shippers, brokers and 3PL's need information and are demanding . We know the challenges you face daily with multiple apps, load boards and the data carnage it causes you trying to run your business. Our mission is to help, connect and simplify your life.

We know that through data connection, a network of carriers and common technology we can solve many of your problems that limit your efficiency, profitability and capability to grow. We have seen this in the new car space where Carriers are connected to the Car Manufacturers systems and data flows from Shipper, to Carrier, to Driver and back electronically and in real-time (we made the bit happen).

By joining the network we provide you with this technology to run your business, to connect to your customers, to plan your loads, to update your customers, to track and trace the freight and invoice your customers electronically and in real time. Our used car mission is to connect the network to the used car shippers and brokers and carriers in the same way.

We have decided to open the company up for external ownership as we want you our customers to own this, to help us make this happen, to be our advocate and voice out there. The challenge is to convince shippers to stop forcing you to use their app, to convince shippers to stop forcing you to use paper delivery sheets, to stop shippers forcing you to follow processes that don't make sense. To this we need to offer them a solution that provides them with the data they need, the certainty they desire and the simplicity they need to work with you. A company with 1 truck cant change this but a network of thousands of trucks can.

Note to unaccredited investors.

Unfortunately we are only able to accept 500 uncredited investors in this raise due to a G12 clause in the legislation, this is why we have set the minimum to $500 and ask that you get accredited if you are able to so more smaller carriers can invest.
