So what’s APRA AMCOS, and why should you care?

APRA AMCOS is a Performance Rights Organization (PRO) that collects royalties for Australian and New Zealand songwriters when their songs are performed, broadcast, streamed or, sold as a download or hardcopy. This is the major revenue stream for composers.

It’s free to sign up, and once you do, APRA AMCOS can give businesses permission to play, perform, copy, record or make available your music, collect payments from businesses for this use of music, and pay you royalties for identified use of your music. APRA AMCOS also exists to support their members. So when you become a member, you’ll also join a music community of over 103,000 songwriters and composers.
