Dear investors and followers,

As we near the end of our campaign on Wefunder, we wanted to provide an update on our progress since we started it. Thanks to the support and investment everyone has provided us, we have reached new milestones.

  1. We have early prototype machines running our development software in preparation for our production machines' arrival.
  2. Based on what we've learned from running these machines, new machine components are on the way; these will bring us closer to the version we will deploy in our first launch targeted by the end of the year! This wouldn't have been possible without your support.

Finally, we wanted to share some words of confidence and encouragement provided by one of our investors, John Brooks:

"Myself and another Caltech Alumnus sat down with Gerrit & JL last night and talked through their business for more than 2 hours. These guys aren't just blowin' smoke, folks. They REALLY ARE on track to hit the 10x improvement they're claiming. (in my question on Aug 1st, you can see that I was initially quite skeptical of this claim) They've thought this through quite thoroughly and neither of us could find any flaws in their plan. The only question remaining is whether they can ramp the business up without any major hiccups. The plan there is to try and ramp linearly - no "hockey stick" for them. Quite sensible in our opinion. Too many businesses embrace the hockey stick growth pattern, and they can't support the growth while maintaining the quality of their product AND their process. They end up cutting corners, and process improvement goes right out the window in favor of meeting the exponentially growing demand. Stealth Machine Co. has a vision which maintains and even improves process quality as the business expands. This growth won't happen over night, so will they be copied and surpassed? No one else seems to be even close to the sort of process they've planned out. And as slowly as existing machine shops are known to innovate, these guys should have plenty of head start on 'em. By the time their "competitors" can pivot, I don't think they'll see Stealth coming up from behind - they'll already have been passed by."

We will continue to keep you updated with our progress in the following months as we sprint towards developing and deploying our MVP.
