THE TEAM NEWS

BRISBANE BRONCOS

Head Coach: Anthony Seibold

Starting 13: Milford, Oates, Staggs, Farnworth, Coates, Boyd, Turpin, Lodge, McCullough, Haas, Glenn, Pangai Jnr., Flegler – Interchanges: Segeyaro, Ofahengaue, Fifita, Carrigan – Reserves: Palasia, Kennedy, Paix, Isaako, Perese

Unavailable: Jack Bird, Tom Dearden, Richie Kennar, Matt Gillett, Gehamat Shibasaki, Sean O’Sullivan

Brisbane produced a superb display as their under-strength side defeated Cronulla which saw them snap their three-match losing run but the Broncos will need to back that performance up in their home clash with the Warriors.

The Broncos will be sweating on the fitness of their Origin stars but all have been named in the side other than Matt Gillett and they are expected to take the field in what will be a much-changed side from last week.

In a further boost for the Broncos, Anthony Milford is fit enough to return and will line-up at fullback whilst last week’s debutantes Xavier Coates and Herbie Farnworth have retained their places in the outside backs.

NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS

Head Coach: Stephen Kearney

Starting 13: Tuivasa-Sheck, Fusitu’a, Hiku, Beale, Maumalo, Nikorima, Green, Paasi, Luke, Ah Mau, Blair, Papali’i, Tevaga – Interchanges: Burr, Lisone, Afoa, Harris-Tavita – Reserves: Perham, Ayshford, Sao, Pulu

Unavailable: Tohu Harris, Nathaniel Roache, Patrick Herbert, Karl Lawton

New Zealand Warriors bounced back from a poor first half showing against Newcastle as they edged their way to an important win and will look to make it four away wins in a row as they travel to Brisbane.

Karl Lawton, Peta Hiku and Jazz Tevaga all picked up knocks during the game against Newcastle and are doubts for the Warriors as a result but only Lawton has been ruled out at this stage.

Lawton’s absence sees Issac Luke start at hooker and Chanel Harris-Tevita is given the final spot on the bench with head coach Stephen Kearney otherwise retaining the same side from last week’s win.

THE PREDICTION

Brisbane showed their inconsistent nature once again as their young guns shocked Cronulla last week. They now host the Warriors who come into this on the back of two wins from their last three and whilst this is difficult to predict, preference is just for the Broncos to back-up last week's win. Anthony Seibold has opted to retain two of his young debutantes from last week and with their side looking a lot stronger here, they can build on last week’s victory to go back-to-back.
