Three matchups which could decide the Super Rugby final.

The Jaguares can claim a fairytale first grand final on Saturday, but the Crusaders are out to spoil the party and claim a rare three-peat.

It’s not the strongest Crusaders team, after Ryan Crotty and Scott Barrett were ruled out because of hand injuries.

However, form, home ground advantage and Scott Robertson’s recent history winning finals ensures they are heavy favourites.

Here’s where the game will be won and lost.

Richie Mo’unga vs Joaquin Diaz Bonilla

As always, the battle of the playmakers will be vital in which side comes out on top.

On the surface, Mo’unga has the runs on the board.

Already the 25-year-old has led the Crusaders to two Super Rugby titles.

Contrastingly, his older counterpart Diaz Bonilla, 30, is in his maiden finals series.

And another grand final win for Mo’unga could put him ahead of domestic rival Beauden Barrett in the competitive race for the All Blacks No. 10 spot.

Last weekend the Canterbury product (124) surpassed another famous Crusader, Andrew Mehrtens (119), to become the second highest points scorer in Super Rugby finals matches and is only behind the great Dan Carter (298).

His opposite Diaz Bonilla controlled the tempo of their semi-final win over the Brumbies in Buenos Aires perfectly last weekend.

If he can ignite his world class ball runners in Emiliano Boffelli, Ramiro Moyano and Jerónimo de la Fuente, the Jaguares stand a chance
