Great news everybody! We are SUPER thrilled to announce that we won TWO awards at this years California State Fair Commercial Beer Competition. In this competition, California craft brews are professionally judged in order to recognize the best commercially brewed beers in California. (This year there were 293 participating breweries!) For more than 160 years the California State Fair has been a constant showcase of the talents and achievements of the people of California, and we are very happy to be recognized for our beer that we take such pride in.

Our Berliner Weisse, "Delicious Money" took bronze! This light, tart and refreshing beer has a hint stone fruits in the body with a mild tropical nose and is very drinkable. 
AND...
"Utopia Planitia" (YOU-TOE-PEE-UH PLUH-KNEE-SHA) Red Rye, received a gold medal! This is one of our core beers and has a brilliant red color with an off white head. Medium bodied, slightly sweet and mildly spiced with an herbal, floral nose, this is available year round on draft and in 16oz cans.

So cool!

Not only did we win these note-worthy accolades, we also totally won our sales goals for May. We grew 17% over April and sold 91 barrels of beer. Our growth is happening at a break neck speed now and we are getting ready to deploy these funds soon to buy more fermentation vessels to keep up with our overwhelming demand.
