#JOB Startup Founding Team Opportunity: SW Engineer & Data Scientist Overview Smarking transforms the car parking industry with predictive analytics, with an ultimate goal of eliminating the parking searching process from people's life. The first product is a SaaS system for large parking facilities backed by historical and real time data from various relevant sources. Smarking currently has three MIT PhDs in MechE, Applied Math, and Transportation, one MIT MS in EE, one Harvard MS in Architecture (design), and two MS in CS from WPI and NEU. Open positions are currently available in the FOUNDING TEAM with equity and "co-founder" entitlement options based on commitment and experience. Starting immediately is preferred but can be flexible. *Software Engineer* 1. Ability to quickly deliver functional features in both web and mobile environment. 2. Strong object-oriented programming expertise (Java, php). 3. Strong expertise with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, AJAX, JSON. 4. Familiarity with visualization tools of JavaScript, e.g. highCharts, d3, etc. 5. Familiarity with Linux environment, Git version control and database programming with MySQL. 6. Skills on UI/UX is a huge plus. 7. Experience with large enterprise systems and structured engineering is a huge plus. *Data Scientist* 1. Ability to quickly parse, manipulate, and analyze data in different formats and quality levels. 2. Proving experience with machine learning, statistics and other relevant math techniques. 3. Skilled with Python / R, experiences wit SQL. 4. Knowledge on transportation, parking theory, operational research is a huge plus.
