As a female-founded company, we originally chose Wefunder for our investment campaign because of their dedication to empowering women in entrepreneurship. Last year, female founders received only 2.2% of the total $130 billion made in venture capital investments, with Latinx women receiving only a mere fraction of that percentage. In many cases, female founders choose crowdfunding over VC funding, where they are statistically more successful than men in meeting fundraising goals.

At womp, we believe that women should be able to succeed in capitalist ventures on any playing field. We want to thank all of our investors for believing in the power of female-led companies, and for investing in a future where gender and ethnicity don't determine entrepreneurial success.
