Prop Franks has a shoulder injury while hooker Taylor and winger Bridge are still recovering from calf and knee/hamstring ailments respectively.

“The best thing for (Franks) is we just realise we will take the time with our players because we’ve got the depth in our squad, that’s something we’re really fortunate to have,” Crusaders coach Scott Robertson said.

The Highlanders, meanwhile, still have four All Blacks on the injured list in Aaron Smith, Luke Whitelock, Waisake Naholo and Liam Squire.

And with Marty Banks also injured, Highlanders coach Aaron Mauger has recalled youngster Josh Ioane at five-eighth.

“There’s been massive growth in Josh over last 18 months,” Mauger said.

“He played really well at the start of the year.

“He’s been in a good duel with Marty Banks, who has provided a bit of experience over the last couple of weeks.

“But Joshy is ready to go.

“He’s excited and he’s lead the team really well this week.

“We’re looking forward to see him go.

“He’s taken on all those learnings of his performances so far and he’s a in a good space.”
