The Philadelphia 76ers pay a visit to the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center on Monday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been in great form as they had won six in a row before getting stopped by the Hawks in a heartbreaking 129-127 road loss on Saturday. Joel Embiid led the team with 27 points and 12 rebounds, Jimmy Butler added 25 points with four assists while Ben Simmons chipped in with 21 points, six rebounds, nine assists and four steals. As a team, the 76ers shot 46 percent from the field and 10 of 23 from the 3-point line as they rallied in the second half after getting outscored by 40-27 in the second quarter, but even with a two-point lead with less than 30 seconds on the clock, the 76ers failed to hang on as the Hawks stole the game on a clutch game-winning floater from Trae Young. With the tough loss, Philadelphia fell to 47-26 overall and 18-17 on the road which is good for third place in the Eastern standings.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been on a nice run lately as they will be looking to build on their current four-game win streak after sneaking past the Grizzlies in a thrilling 123-119 overtime home win on Friday. Terrence Ross led the team in scoring with 31 points on 10 of 15 shooting off the bench, Evan Fournier added 27 points with eight rebounds and six assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 25 points on 12 of 23 shooting. As a team, the Magic shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 17-point third quarter deficit to steal the game in overtime. With the much-needed win, Orlando improved to 35-38 overall and 22-16 at home which is currently good for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games following a loss, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Magic are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games playing on two days rest.

Head to head, the over is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings, the 76ers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the 76ers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Orlando.

The Magic are doing everything they can to sneak into the playoffs as they’ve been playing some of their best basketball, but they’re a game behind the Heat so they’ll need every win they can get. The 76ers were on a roll themselves before getting shocked by the Hawks in their last outing, so they will be eager to bounce back here. The 76ers lead the season series by 2-1 but every meeting was decided by single digits and I’m expecting the same here. This could go either way, but the Magic have won six straight at home and I think they can stay hot with another close win here.
