Our Team

Humanity needs more people in pursuit of personal development and self-actualization. People in the network marketing space pursue this type of education and lifestyle. By helping the network marketing community grow, we’re helping humanity.

How We Started

In 2015, our founder, Charbel Zalaquett, was introduced to Network Marketing otherwise known as Direct Selling or Multilevel Marketing, having a great positive impact on him personally and economically. For the first time, he was introduced to an environment where the pursue for personal development and healthy relations was the standard.

He quickly climbed the ranks becoming a six figure earner building teams of thousands of people across five countries and learned about the most important needs, pains and problems networkers have. All of this learning experience resulted in five core truths and/or conclusions:

  • 1. Recruiting people isn’t the problem, the problem is retaining them and to improve your retention rate you must recruit the right people.
  • 2. Recruiting team members only gets you so far, recruiting customers is as important and even more important if you want to build a long term residual income.
  • 3. Network Marketers love other network marketers, they like friend them, learn from them, coach them, date them, but most importantly, recruit them.
  • 4. Network marketers like to buy products and services from other network marketing companies, not only from theirs.
  • 5. Network marketers aren’t trees and just like someone changes jobs, networkers also change companies, frequently.

These five truths represent in some degree, a problem or a need that hasn’t been addressed or solved in an effective and convenient way resulting in waisted time and money for network marketers.

    The AH-HA! Moment

One day during a company trip, as someone showed Charbel how matchmaking apps worked, an idea struck him and he had a major AH-HA! moment on how he could help and empower not only his team, nor his company, but the entire industry. This idea addressed and solved for those five main truths/conclusions, in an elegant, efficient and convenient way.

    The Core Idea

An app - Unify - where network marketing professionals could meet others alike, to buy and sell one another, networkers buying from networkers, helping each other out, but also to learn / teach and make new friends with like minded individuals. This core idea solved for most of those five conclusions he had. Think: LinkedIn but for the network marketing professionals, with a twist.

One of our main goals is to help networkers redirect their purchases from traditional retail towards the Network Marketing industry.

    The Twist

There are millions of people who are merely costumers of the industry, the problem is they usually buy products from one company, this is because someone tried to recruit them into the business but they ended up becoming just a costumer for that specific company or they gave the business side a chance and decided it wasn't for them, but continued using the products. There's no platform to learn about, find and buy products from trusted network marketers near you.

The twist is that Unify would let former networkers as well as non-networkers use Unify as a marketplace where they could search for and find thousands of  products from  hundreds of trusted network marketing companies and introduce them to the people - network marketers - who sell them. This additional feature, solves for the rest of the five truths.

    What happened after that?

Short after, he pitched the idea to a friend who had a strong background in IT. German decided to join the endeavor as a co-founder. They started to design and program the first version of Unify. Once they had a working prototype, Charbel pitched the business opportunity to another friend at a cafe using a pen and a napkin. Two minutes into the pitch, Luis, an accredited investor was in as the first investor in Unify. With his investment as well as Germans and Charbel’s, they moved into an office, hired a team of A players and helped Charbel make his vision come true.

    The App

Unify is the first mobile matchmaking social platform built exclusively for network marketers worldwide. Network marketers can meet others alike to buy and sell from one another or to meet people alike, network, build new relationships, learn from others with more experience or teach and help those just starting.

In Unify you can also find industry outsiders and former network marketers who are looking to buy from the industry or join someones team. The Unify app was designed according to network marketing ethics and mindset to help anyone involved in network marketing have a better experience.

    Why is this Concept Working?

The way people interact has become more efficient thanks to countless platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Whatsapp and many more. That said, none of these were designed with the network marketing community in mind.

People contribute to their digital identities by creating profiles, opening accounts in different social networks and/or specialized platforms, most of which are aligned with their interests or careers. For example, your Facebook, Instagram or YouTube profile helps you express yourself to the world, be it via a picture timeline, comments or videos.

With each click, you’re building your digital identity.

An Uber account tells the world you want to pay for a ride or you want to earn by giving rides, on Airbnb, you either want to rent a space or you have space to rent. Across virtually every profession, skill set and industry, countless platforms help transactions go smoother and faster, reducing friction But what’s a Network Marketer to do? There’s no single platform for network marketers to showcase their exclusive profiles and no platform that unites the industry while complying with network marketing ethics, values and principles.

We all know how retail has been revolutionized by digital markets such as Amazon, eBay, AliExpress and many more. Still, none were designed considering the methodology of network marketing.

Every time a social or matchmaking platform is introduced to an industry or a community, it explodes in sales and growth. Suddenly that industry is the place to be, as a consumer or as a supplier. Witness the taxi industry thanks to Uber, rentals to Airbnb and so on. Hyper-demand was created for both sides, supply and demand. Yet, there’s no social-matchmaking platform for the global community of network marketing professionals.

"Unify was born as the first social matchmaking platform for the global network marketing space.”

    Not "IF" but "WHEN"

Amazon and Ebay has made retail infinitely more efficient; the same goes for Uber and Lyft in transportation. For business there’s LinkedIn. Programmers have Github, gamers have Gameflip, daters have Tinder, even the massage profession now has Soothe, without even mentioning the plethora of generic apps and platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Clearly it wasn’t an "IF” but a “WHEN” for the first social Network Marketing app to appear.

We are in the Age of Networks and Influence

In a hyper-communicated world, where the new currencies are speed, influence and information, people are ever more attracted to like-minded people and specialized networks.

Facebook, LinkedIn, Tinder, Instagram, Snap Chat, WhatsApp are all generalized networks, meaning they are separated by broad categories like friendship, work and dating.

Soon enough, this will no longer entice. People in the Friendship category, say, will look for platforms to meet and connect only with like-minded people; the same will happen in the work category. People will look for platforms where they can interact only with people who have the same or similar job, career or profession. In dating, they will use mobile apps to find only matches with similar interests.

In essence, people will choose to spend their time and money on platforms with less noise about stuff they don’t care for. They will develop “selective ignorance” to shield themselves from the unnecessary barrage of information on social media platforms today.

You can spot signs of this coming phenomenon in new specialized platforms, which have specific features and designs that appeal exclusively to select demographics. Take the plethora of new platforms for the Fitness industry, designed for clients and coaches alike. Or dating, where new platforms are dedicated to specific preferences, be it age, politics, sexual orientation, or commitment, even. Or Uber look-alike apps, but with women driving female customers. There will be platforms like LinkedIn but specialized for specific careers, tastes and lifestyles.

Given these trends, I set my sights on changing the game for the global Network Marketing community

40% of all jobs will disappear, in the coming decades, technology replaces humans. People will have to find better and smarter ways to make a living. Given all the above trends, I believe more people than ever before will be working from home, using technology and their influence to sell products and services through their networks and recommendations. After all, this is what Network Marketing is all about.

See how these different variables, seemingly unconnected, have come together to favor Network Marketing like no time before.

    The Market

The Network Marketing industry is currently made up of +120 million users that are accounted for by the WDSA (World Direct Selling Association), with at least one million new users added to our ranks every month. It is one of the fastest growing communities in the world.

Internet based methods fail - none were designed specifically for network marketing and none have a Code of Conduct according to network marketing mindset.

Non-internet based methods fail - they are slow, expensive, not scalable and now with Social Distancing even more.

THERE IS NO SOCIAL-MATCHMAKING PLATFORM FOR THE NETWORK MARKETING INDUSTRY.

    Today

It has been a long and hard road with a very expensive learning curve for the whole team. We've made so many mistakes, mistakes that could've been avoided by dedicating more time to learning from others through books, podcasts, webinars etc. However, these mistakes are what have made us what we are today. Today Unify isn't just an app, Unify is a team of super-cool A player nerds who are so in sync and know the entire app so well that most of the time, just a few words is the only thing that is required for the team to know what to do and how to do it.

    Our KPIs

Our KPIs have been improving consistently every time we launch a new update with improved or new features.

    Post-COVID19

There's been a spike in interest in home based businesses since the COVID19 situation started because many people lost their jobs or they felt they needed an extra income.  Many also adapted to working from home and understand that social distancing will be the norm for years to come. All these factors favor Network Marketing, even the fact that products are delivered directly from the factory to your home, making it more sanitary.

People staying at home, no longer meet people at the line at the bank or super market, or at a social event or club, so the traditional way of meeting people will decrease dramatically. This leaves the other method which is through social media but these, as mentioned earlier, weren't designed for networkers to recruit people.

With marketing budget we can implement multiple campaigns and growth strategies to make Unify go viral.
