Trump's followers began fervently pursuing the narratives that Trump, their Leader, espoused - even when it seemingly conflicted with reasoned thought. The Leader's goals became their goals. The Leader's competitive world view became their world view. They began to feel part of a \"movement.\" They imitated him. Their objective? To defeat \"the other side\" - the enemy - his enemy, and they came to see it in zero-sum terms, as \"winning.\"Since Trump the malignant narcissist does not experience certain human emotion like empathy, shame, and contrition, these emotions became less prevalent in those following him as they pursued \"winning.\" Facts and information become increasingly subordinate to feelings and beliefs. This leads to defiance. Even happiness gets redefined. It's a phenomenon, akin to an addictive fix. And what does a malignant narcissist with a large and loyal \"malignantly normal\" electorate, do? He uses the public narrative to demonize all opposition. This is THE first of two crucial steps in the enactment of the Authoritarian Playbook.Demonization is done with endless repetition. Demonized groups are painted as evil and crazy. Allegations are made against them to induce fear. The message is unless the demonized group is neutered or unempowered, terrible things will ensue. A goal of demonization is DIVISION, turn fear to blame to anger; US vs THEM.Demonization occurs on matters large and small. It's relentless. It's amplified through the spread of disinformation. This yields THE second crucial component of the Authoritarian Playbook - amplifying false narratives; state propaganda.If messages inherent to the propaganda are adopted by an electorate, they can think and vote in ways that go against their own interests, and the peddlers of that propaganda will be able to enact a government where dissent is restrained. This has happened throughout history. It has been happening here. As dissent is restrained, power is amassed, and heavy-handed tactics are employed to add chaos, uncertainty, and frustration, induce capitulation and push the envelope.Our contention as filmmakers and observers, is that America is now on a precipice, and the battle for control of its people relies on pushback BY THE PEOPLE against the notion of being controlled.An essential step in this battle for control is fomenting COGNITIVE DISSONANCE - a feeling of discomfort that what they're seeing doesn't jive with what they're being told. In America, RIGHT NOW, cognitive dissonance HAS grown. This is good. UNFIT TOO will add to it: clarity and reality without noise.But Cognitive Dissonance is hard for people to process and resolve. People who have tied their entire world view to a person or personality become very resistant to change. The \"dissonance\" is the start of change, but more often than not, the demonization of \"the other side\" is just as powerful a force for resisting that change. That said, it's important to note that different people have differing degrees of allegiances, and a shift of a few % points can make all the difference.Behaviorists have surmised that two areas capable of driving more cognitive dissonance are a MASSIVE WEALTH TRANSFER - and - LACK OF HAPPINESS. MASSIVE WEALTH TRANSFER: As we said up front, those seeking to undermine our system of government wish to replace it with an oligarchy, controlled by a few uber-wealthy individuals. Government becomes centralized, weaponized, and corrupt, and The State doles out influence, entitlement, and even clemency. Oligarchs serve The State and are protected.The Epstein Files is one example where Trump is seen to be protecting cronies and elites who are wealthy financial donors, causing cognitive dissonance in his base.LACK OF HAPPINESS: Those seeking to undermine our system of government also wish to replace the determination of REAL happiness with a tribalistic sense of \"winning.\" This eschews empathy, compassion, and societal inclusion, and induces dopamine rushes from division, owning the other side, inflammatory rhetoric, threats, entitlement and suppression of the opposition's wit and humor.The spewing of epithets like \"piggy\" and \"garbage,\" publishing a racist meme of Obama, attacking Kimmel and Colbert, and weaponizing the FCC are recent examples where Trump tries to make owning the other side into a form of entertainment, and in so doing - fostering discontent and stifling true happiness.UNFIT TOO will address all of this, as well as the impact of Trump's progressive illnesses, how that portends for Trumpism, its continuance and continuity, what comes next and what the solutions to our present predicament might prove to be.Your investment in UNFIT TOO will help the film get made. There's a war on science, on social programs, on information, on health, on expertise, even on comedy, and history! There's now a large established private federal policing force, who operate wearing masks. They're renaming buildings, departments, even bodies of water. And too few recognize the size of the wealth transfer being engineered. \"They're tantalizing audiences with sound bites and video bites; it's a true Made for TV presidency. The ignorant are entertained, disguising unbridled corruption. They cover up crimes by over-emotionalizing citizens and normalizing the chaos through media they all or partly control. What they really want to control, is: The People. \"How do you/we speak to over-emotionalized citizens craving the next dopamine rush? For the most part, you/we don't. Low information voters, members of nationalist religions, those perverted by echo chamber TV and social media algorithms, who feel owning the other side IS happiness - many may be beyond our reach. Their skewed world view has become too enmeshed into their identity. To them, entitlement is good if it's theirs; they don't see their own judgmentalism; and Project 2025 seems like a sensible manifesto to them. But this group IS a minority. Independents now constitute a majority of the electorate, and they're skewing Left, as are young people, people of color (Hispanics!), the previously apathetic, and a disproportionately high number of women. This is numerically sufficient to win resoundingly. They need a push on issues less talked about. Many Trump voters feel cognitive dissonance and believe it's best if the current administration is curbed.\"In 2020, there was a real feeling that something was wrong with Trump, and we made #UNFIT and used science and psychology to explain.
