My post apocalyptic survival skill is...
Outdoor and survival skills, ability to function at a high level with clear analysis through crisis.
My biggest challenge...
Access to opportunities with detailed information to determine fit for investment.
I want to invest in...
Shortly before 'black Monday' I invested in a profitable public company whose owners also had under performing companies heavily burdened with debt. They needed to keep the debt laden firm to support many interrelated operations and would need to sell the only profitable asset to raise capital at some point. While the ownership group was able to meet their initial debt obligations over the first few months, on black Monday the stock took a significant hit and counter to advice I received and a lot of panic in the market, I knew the fundamentals were sound and stayed the course, buying more, dramatically increasing my returns over time as they were not able to meet debt obligations a few months later and had to sell at a much higher price.
I can be most helpful at...
I have mentored and advised many startup companies and community initiatives over the years, but one of the most rewarding at the earliest stage was working with a young man who was motivated by family illness to revolutionize the medical imaging business. I provided early advisory services to he and his partner regarding positioning, technical approach and refinement of their proposals to other potential investors.
I think we can fix America by...
I am interested in opportunities to improve niche conditions that are of high benefit as well as devices and technologies that can scale to improve health and/or performance.
My most influential mentor is...
I would like to help those who have passionate ideas and professional skills but may lack access to resources including financial, mentoring or business experience to bring their passion to purposeful intent and profit.

Curious how well the companies have done? Or how many raised follow-on financing?
Some fine print: 1) These numbers include startups currently live on Wefunder if they pass their minimum target. 2) Some startups use two different laws at the same time (i.e., Regulation D and Regulation Crowdfunding).
