## Q&A
- Q: How do you distinguish yourself from other platforms (e.g., Radical Girl Gang) that are essentially doing the same thing?
  - A: Hi Kevin! Thanks so much for your great question! We love what Radical Girl Gang is doing. Their site and products are gorgeous! TheWMarketplace includes women professional service providers as a key point of differentiation. We also are working to create the broadest possible market place so that women at every stage of business: starting, pivoting or scaling on line, have a supportive community within which to grow and thrive. We focus on providing relevant business content via HER-Commerce™ Master Classes and onboarding programs so that the businesses joining TheWMarketplace are equipped for success. And ultimately, we believe there is space in the market for more than one women-owned platform. Women make 83% of purchasing decisions and should have more than a handful of options for shopping. Thanks again for your question!
- Q: How are you appealing to woman owned start-ups? Minorities?
  - A: Hi Andrea, This is a great question! We are reaching out to women-owned start-ups and established businesses in several ways. Perhaps most importantly, we offer a national sales channel that has favorable terms, a supportive community, and information, programs and tools that enable entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. Partnerships also have been important in our growth. For example, we have partnered with federal and state government organizations that work with women entrepreneurs to deliver business information and training on e-commerce and successful onboarding onto our platform. We also have dedicated resources to building a database of women-owned businesses for outreach. Further, we attend trade shows and other events to do in-person outreach. In addition, we are promote the business through organic and paid advertising on various platforms and with targeted women's networking groups. Through all of this process, we intentionally are reaching out to groups who work with and support women of color. It is our priority that TheWMarketplace represents the incredible diversity of women entrepreneurs and that women from every community knows they are welcome and will be supported. When a business joins our site, they have the option of identifying with a specific community, which will show up as a badge on their product listings. This enables shoppers to search for and find communities they want to support. Thank you for your question, Andrea! Warmly, Susan
- Q: Hi there how would investors make money
  - A: Hi Scott! With your investment, you are "betting" that TheWMarketplace will grow and will move to a "priced round". At this point, your investment converts to equity. Wefunder has a nice FAQ that talks about how this type of crowdfunding can earn investors a return. You can find it here: https://help.wefunder.com/#/investor/returns. The type of vehicle you are investing in with TheWMarketplace is a SAFE. Thanks for your question! Susan
- Q: Hi, How does the business differ from Shopify? How would a women centric marketplace differ from it to become a multi billion dollar business?
  - A: Hi Kapeesh - Thanks for the question! We have built IP on top of Shopify services. We offer women entrepreneurs a way to efficiently and effectively access a national sales channel for their products and services. We are harnessing the power of women entrepreneurs into one platform, across all categories, and are aggregating marketing to extend much further than a single brand. We also know that values-based shoppers are looking for alternatives to what is in the market today and we are building to meet that need. Warmly, Susan

  - A: Hi Valerie - Here is a link for more info for investing outside of the US: https://help.wefunder.com/legal/304306-can-i-invest-if-i-don-t-live-in-the-united-states We appreciate your support!
  - A: Hi Valerie! Thank you so much for your question and interest in supporting TheWMarketplace!! I will connect you with our account manager here at Wefunder to answer your question regarding your ability to invest as a French citizen. We have a few digital products for sale, but they are not called out in a specific category. For example, Ronit Plank has an e-book for sale as a digital download. This is an area that we will be building as we grow, as we have had interest from some independent film producers, etc. All of the shipping is managed by the individual sellers on the site. Happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Thanks again!
- Q: Strong concept behind highlighting women-owned businesses through a dedicated ecommerce marketplace. Shopify often serves as the backbone for many such online stores, making platform reliability and merchant support a key factor in success. Mixed user experiences and feedback can be explored further through Shopify reviews on https://shopify.pissedconsumer.com/review.html when evaluating how well it supports growing ecommerce brands.
- Q: Hi Kate and Susan! Congrats on your 1.4M raise! What is happening with the platform? It has been several months since the last update came through... It seems that the commerce platform no longer exists, and you are now training entrepreneurs. Is that accurate? Just curious! Thanks, Shona
- Q: My question is more related to law. You can't discriminate based on gender and if you do then you will likely be sued, how will you handle this in the future (as it will happen)?
  - A: Hi Ethan, Thanks for your question, we welcome all shoppers to the site. Cheers, Kate
