# Texas Beer Co

Texas-brewed craft beer and brewpub based in Taylor, TX

## Elevator pitch
We are a locally-owned, people-powered, solar-powered brewery in historic downtown Taylor, Texas. Our brewpub features a variety of Texas craft beer paired with BBQ, pizza, tacos and more. We have live music every weekend, and we've hosted numerous community events and charity fundraisers. Our taproom opened last year, and we did $230K in 2016 (May-Dec.) revenue with just on-premise sales. Now we've reached maximum capacity, so we're expanding from a 3-barrel brewhouse to a 30-barrel brewhouse.

## FAQ
1. **Read through a lot of your Form C - which seemed especially well-written, by the way - you expect (if things go well, of course) to eventually make distributions to unit-holders, and that is how WeFunder investors will make their money, is that correct?**
   - David, Thanks for the compliment! We have a great team that's worked hard to help launch our business and convey all the relevant info and our upcoming plans into an integrated and readable Form C summary. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. To answer your specific question: You are correct that investors will make their money through distributions to unit-holders. We admit Texas Beer Co isn't a get-rich-quick investment opportunity, and our strategy is to invest in...
2. **What is the basis for your $7 million valuation?**
   - Kevin, Thanks for the question and sorry for the delayed response. We just wrapped up our crowdfunding kickoff party which was a great event. We appreciate your interest in Texas Beer Company, and we hope you'll join our team! In response to your question regarding valuation, please consider these factors below: 1) We've been in business for over a year, with an active taproom to market our brand. 2) We've already raised $1.2M in Class A investor funding and expect $400K in economic incentive...
3. **Do you plan on selling beer outside Texas eventually?**
   - Hi Alan, While our focus right now is distribution in our backyard, there are proud Texans all over the country and our long term goal is to share Texas Beer with our friends across the country. Cheers! Ian
4. **do you think you will expand your sales outside Texas? Have you thought of getting certified by Where Food Comes From Corp?**
   - Alan, Thanks for the question and your interest in Texas Beer Co! In the short term, we'll have plenty of thirsty Texas beer drinkers within a few hours of our brewery. Over the long term, yes, we believe the Texas brand will resonate across the country and the world. One of our investors has mentioned the possibility of international franchise partnerships, and we're open to all possibilities. I'm not familiar with "Where Food Comes From Corp", but I'll do some research. If you have addition...
5. **I have the same question as Kevin Thompson, what is the basis for the valuation? I would be more inclined to invest more if the valuation were a little more modest, perhaps around 3-4 million not including this round.**
   - Hi Robert, Thanks for your question and your interest in Texas Beer Co! Regarding valuation, we believe our brewery has Texas-sized potential, and we hope you'll join our team. I just posted a more detailed answer to Kevin's related question about valuation, and that permalink can be found here: https://wefunder.com/comments/9700 If you have any other questions, please let me know. ## Q&A
- Q: Hi, once production starts with the cans, how long do you think it will take you guys to expand to other states? The reason I ask is because I live in Southern California and I would like to be able to get it. Before you guys start to distribute everywhere, would it be possible for Investors to purchase it and get it shipped to them?
  - A: Francisco, Thanks for the question and sorry for the delayed response. We've been slammed building the expansion brewhouse and launching our distribution operation. But the good news is we're off to a great start distributing at HEB stores! We would love to distribute to our friends in California and across the country, but that's a long term expansion goal. Our new 4-vessel, 30-barrel expansion brewhouse is bigger and more efficient that most startup brewpubs, but we would still need a bigger brewhouse to distribute statewide and across the country. Regarding the legalities of shipping beer, the TABC (our state regulatory agency) has restrictions on that. We'll talk with them to find out what's allowed. Thanks! Ian
- Q: When can investors expect an update on how the company is doing?
- Q: Read through a lot of your Form C - which seemed especially well-written, by the way - you expect (if things go well, of course) to eventually make distributions to unit-holders, and that is how WeFunder investors will make their money, is that correct?
  - A: David, Thanks for the compliment! We have a great team that's worked hard to help launch our business and convey all the relevant info and our upcoming plans into an integrated and readable Form C summary. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. To answer your specific question: You are correct that investors will make their money through distributions to unit-holders. We admit Texas Beer Co isn't a get-rich-quick investment opportunity, and our strategy is to invest in long term growth over short term profits. But we genuinely believe our brand has Texas-sized potential, and we're excited to share our long term profits with our friends. In addition to distributions, there's always a possible future exit, but we do not expect a near term exit. Cheers! Ian

- Q: Hi Ian and JD! Congrats on the round close! When do you guys start addressing the perks piece for all investors? Looking forward to catching up soon! -Neil
- Q: When is the next open investment period?
- Q: This round was 600,000 what happens after that? Will there be another crowdfund?if not will i be able to buy more shares from within the ones i own? Thanks.
- Q: Ian - Congrats on the closing! Any chance us investors in other regions of Texas (Dallas) could purchase some of the product and get it shipped to them?
  - A: Luis, Thanks for your support! We're thankful that you and other investors across Texas are excited to get our Texas Beer Co brews shipped to your region. At this time, we're still a little uncertain how the TABC rules work regarding beer shipments, so we'll proceed with caution until we better understand what's allowed. Having said that, please allow us to pivot to a related point.. This upcoming legislative cycle presents unique opportunities to shape the future of TABC regulations on a variety of brewery-related issues. The TABC is up for its every-10-year sunset review, and the Texas Craft Brewers Guild is working hard to empower our supporters to liberate local craft beer from unnecessary regulations. Please consider supporting the Craft Brew Guild's efforts! facebook.com/craftpactx Cheers! Ian
- Q: how we receive money on our investments
