## Story
STORYOur family has been building brands for over 20 years and we are extremely excited about Teak Tea, Inc, believing that we can build a brand that could become a major takeover target for one of the large non-alcoholic beverage companies. As the founders, we particularly like this business because it could pay out annual dividends, is protected by hard assets through teak trees, and is environmentally friendly as growing these trees reduces each investors carbon footprint. We started our teak plantation 22 years ago, and while it will take these trees a further 8 years until they reach maturity, Teak Tea, Inc. will produce the some of the world’s finest iced teas and loose leaf teas made from our very own fresh teak leaves. Through our plantation, we are able to further protect your investment with the additional income from the mature teak trees when their harvest lumber is ready to sell in approximately 8 years. About Teak Tea:Our Teak Teas are superior quality blends made only from the finest leaves from our 22-year-old Santa Rosa Sustainable Teak Forestry Project, located in beautiful San Carlos, Costa Rica. The Benefits of Teak Leaves have been known for centuries all over Asia and are now available for the first time in the U.S.Consuming at least one cup of Teak Tea a day can facilitate the body's metabolism so that fats and bad cholesterol can be more easily removedTeak Tea can neutralize toxins in your bodyTeak Tea contains active compounds like tannins that can reduce the absorption of fatTeak Tea contains fibers that can speed up your metabolismTeak leaves are the perfect ingredient for an amazing tea Native inhabitants of regions where teak is abundant, such as Myanmar, used to make tea out of the leaves from teak trees. This may be due to the fact that teak is a member of the mint family. It was thought that teak tea could help alleviate headaches, fever and stomach pains. The leaves have also been said to have antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-ulcer properties. We have hired a master tea blender from the International Tea Masters Association who has just completed our first five amazing teas.We will be creating a large e-commerce presence and through our network, aim to distribute our tea to major retailers such as Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and others. We are also going to create:A Tea of the Month Club, where people can sign up and receive our teas every single monthA blog that talks about tea, tea history, and moreAn online series called "MixIt by Teak Labs" where we blend interesting types of tea, for marketing and to generate additional advertising revenue Arizona Beverages USA, the company that makes Arizona Iced Tea, had over $100 million in sales in 2010. Don Vultaggio, co-founder of Arizona Beverages USA, has an estimated worth of $3.4 Billion dollars!THAT IS OUR END GAME!The non-alcoholic global beverage market is valued at over $1 trillion, and at over $300 billion in the U.S. alone. Coca-Cola owns approximately 16.7% of Monster Beverage Corporation (owner of the Hansen's brand), which it purchased in 2015 for approximately $2.15 billion. Coca-Cola also purchased the makers of Vitamin Water for $4.2 billion and FUZE beverages, a company founded by Lance Collins in his basement producing a variety of juices and teas, for $250 million dollars just seven years after its founding. Meanwhile, PepsiCo purchased the SoBe brand of fruit drinks and iced teas for about $370 million dollars. We just returned from our plantation to pick up dry teak leaves and are also setting up a new nursery in Costa Rica. This nursery will be used to grow young teak saplings with new leaves to harvest for our teak tea. When the trees grow to a certain size, we can either transplant the trees to our plantation or we can sell the young trees to other plantations. We believe that there is a big market for these unique teas plus you will have the added benefit of receiving the proceeds from the harvest of the wood in 8 years.http://www.teakteas.comHere’s the Story of our Teak Plantation! In 1997 we purchased 50 acres of land in Costa Rica’s prime growing area of Quesada San Carlos to grow an environmentally friendly, sustainable Teak forest. The plantation has been managed for the past 22 years by Guillermo Rugeles, who has a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Oregon State University. That's me in Costa Rica on a bench made of our teak!Teak has been renowned as the KING OF WOODS for centuries. It does not warp or crack and is thus the perfect wood for windows, doors, outdoor furniture, and yachts. For every $1,000 invested we will assign the income rights to one of our teak trees to our investors. When the trees are harvested in 8 years, the investors will receive the revenue of the harvest of all of these trees. The Costa Rican Government, recognizing the contribution that this plantation makes to the country, has granted us tax-free status on the income earned from the sale of the timber after the 30-year growing cycle. This tax exemption is passed along to our investors. Costa Rica is also a preferred holiday destination for both American and European visitors with its beautiful beaches and lush jungle. It has the highest literacy rate in Central America and 25% of its land has been turned into National Parks. Our plantation grew out of our love for Costa Rica and the desire to protect natural rainforests by giving loggers and lovers of teak and alternative place where they can acquire quality teak wood. We have carefully managed our plantation over the past 22 years and are now in a position to harvest our own environmentally sustainable teak tree leaves to create the world’s finest Teak Tea.Who we are?We are an experienced group of entrepreneurs and a family with knowledge in many different fields. ## FAQ
1. **I love a nice cup of tea...but your minimum of $1,000 is too high for my personal risk-tolerance on this type of startup. Of course it's never too late to amend your filing and get it down to something more in line with most Reg. CF offerings.**
 - Hi Barnaby, we started with a $1,000 minimum as that will give an investor the full revenue from the harvest of one mature 30 year old teak tea. We may reduce the minimum to $500 and will let you kn ow if that happens. Have a great Sunday. Best regardsKlaus
2. **Hi, there is a lot to like about this presentation, but I was hoping to get some clarification. 1. Did I miss a timeline somewhere - when will the products roll out, and then what are your revenue projections for the first few years? (If the latter is not possible yet, can you...**
 - Hi Alan, We hope to roll out the product in early 2020. We do have all the partners on board for a full rollout with massive production capabilities and yes, we have gone through the entire production process. Most competitors import their ingredients just like we do. We have an added benefit that the teak tea leaves come from our plantation at close to zero cost. The risk t o trees is primarily in the first 5 years of their lives. Thereafter the wood is so hard and oily that insects do not a...
3. **Hi Klaus, Thanks for your reply and thanks to Alan for digging deeper... I'd consider getting in, with a few friends... if and when you reduce the minimum to $250 or $500... thanks again!**
 - Hi Barnaby, We just lowered the minimum investment to $500. We hope to have you on board! Thank you, Klaus Moeller
4. **Would be interested in getting in on this round if the minimum was $500. When is your expected date of closing this round ?**
 - Hi Lyle, thank you a lot for your interest, we'll stay in touch. The early bird reservation round will close in 4 days!
5. **Hello, please comment on the plantation - existing and planned new trees - to provide tea production capacity necessary to meet customer demand coincident to top end goal in becoming a major beverage company. Also, as investor reward lies in beverage company success and not in...**
 - Hi Steven, I just received your voicemail, please feel free to contact me directly at hayden@hiero2.com; that will be the fastest way to get in touch with me. I currently have strep throat and it's impossible for me to talk :( One of your concerns was that this is in an entirely different industry to the Los Angeles Comic Con. That is correct but both of these are building companies from the ground up, creating valuable brands and marketing a “product”. Furthermore, Klaus Moeller has been in ...

## Q&A
- Q: what's going on with the rollout of product no news lately also our stack in the tree's
- Q: Hello Hayden, Could you provide an update regarding Teak Tea?
- Q: Hayden, So, if I am reading about your exit strategy, you would prefer being bought out by a larger company. I owned a stake in BAI before it was purchased by Dr. Pepper and was curious if this is the model you will be using. This is the scenario of which you prefer? Additionally, what happens to share holders when the 8 years to harvest the teak trees takes place? Is there going to be a special provision benefitting the investors in that regard? Lastly, what are your projected sales figures for an investor if you sell to a company? 3x, 5x. +/- ? Thanks in advance for the answers. I’m waiting to invest, but it looks like a sweet deal.
 - A: Our exit strategy is for Teak Tea, Inc. to purchased by a large company. We will initially target California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado while also working with our distribution network of major national retailers. We have worked with Walmart, Target and Costco and feel confident that we will be able to place our products with some larger chains! The shareholders will have their teak trees protected as we will make sure to include provision that the teak trees will be transferred to a new company if we are bought out and we will continue to manage the plantation so that our investors are guaranteed the income from the eventual harvest. Alternatively if the company is purchased it may include the plantation in which case the shareholders would each receive their pro-rata income from the sale. At this stage it is impossible to accurately predict the return in case we were bought out but it is in our interest to maximize such price! If you have any more questions let us know! I'm extremely interested in your experiences in BAI, one of the reasons we love WeFunder is that there are tons of investors that add value with their knowledge and experience. Any help is much appreciated!
- Q: Can you update us on the current the status? There has been no updates for past 3 years
- Q: no more updates?
- Q: Maybe partnering with a alcohol company already like Skeptic Distillery
- Q: What does one get with the minimum $ 500.00 investment ?
 - A: Hi Lawrence, We recently reduced the investment to $500 to let more investors come in. I will add an update for the rewards. With a $500 investment you can expect: - Income rights assigned to half of one of our harvested teak trees when they are ready to harvest in approximately 8 years. - A limited-edition 19x13 print from Thomas Hussung. - Substantial discounts on all Teak Tea purchases until the end of time. Thank you for your question! Hope to have you invest, please let me know if you have any more. Kind regards, Hayden Michael
- Q: What is the timeline with regards to approaching retailers and having the teas stocked in grocery stores?
 - A: Hi Craig, My father sends his best regards! We will start approaching retailers in Q4 this year and should start selling actual products by Q2 next year! Kindest regards, Hayden
- Q: Can I get an update on this investment?
- Q: Hi Hayden, can we have an update on what is going on with Teak tea?
 - A: Hi Mark, Please shoot me an email at hayden@hiero2.com and I'll give you a full update, cheers!
- Q: Anyone knows what happens to that theft Hayden Michael? He pockets investors money and disappears.
 - A: Hi Keny, shoot us a message at hayden@hiero2.com and I will get back to you. Thank you!
- Q: What is the latest on this investment?
- Q: Is this still alive? You probably aren't reading this anymore, but I hope you come back?
- Q: How do you claim that Teak is a sustainable option for hard wood? Natural diverse forests are cut down and replaced with Teak which is known to strip the soil of nutrients leaving the soil unable to harvest anything after it is forested. We live in Panama and it is widely known that Teak was introduced here in the name of sustainability but it has proven to be extremely unsustainable.
- Q: Hi Haydon, I hope I find you in good health and that all things related to Teak Tea is moving along well. I just wanted to follow up on the VIP pack pre-order I placed for delivery in June. I have not received a package yet (I have been waiting excitedly to taste the product), and was wondering if there has been a change in the timeline based on your last update of postponing a launch event in Venice beach. Thanks for your answer in advance and all the best in navigating through the hurdles of launching a new product during this difficult time. Cheers, Sung Yun Lee
 - A: Hi Sung Yun Lee,Please look at our update here to see what has been happening. We should have product launched in August. I deeply apologize about the delay.https://wefunder.com/updates/135147-teak-tea-update-amp-hand-sanitizersKindest Regards,Hayden Michael
