As a serial entrepreneur and developer myself, I know how hard it is to find the RIGHT talent to (quickly) scale your business. Our deep roots in the African tech scene indicated that Africa's best talent was continuously on the hunt for bigger and better opportunities beyond their local markets. Talent in emerging markets lacks access to the opportunities and growth resources they need to become world-class engineers, while companies lack the resources (time, energy, financial, technical, etc.) to acquire the talent they need to scale, efficiently and effectively.

TalentQL bridges this gap. We provide talent with access to global opportunities, world-class mentors, and growth resources -- helping them evolve into world-class engineers while helping our companies build a seamless, pre-vetted, global team in less than 48 hours

We connect our talent with companies via an all-in-one marketplace platform, which matches the two sides of our network.

For our talent, we additionally offer mentorship, educational content, growth resources. We just rolled out our six-month pipeline program, training experienced developers to become world-class engineers

At TalentQL, we realized that a lot of the career growth opportunities for developers were concentrated in a few key locations. This made it harder for top talent outside of those locations to get noticed by innovative companies. So, we set out on a mission to decentralize and democratize access to career growth and work opportunities for African tech talents.

We are committed to helping companies around the world, build and manage world-class remote engineering teams consisting of high-performing technical talents across the continent. Now, both technical talents and companies can collaborate and work on innovative projects from anywhere in the world. From Fortune 500 companies to burgeoning local startups, we help our clients ship faster and achieve business goals by offering access to highly-vetted top talents

We provide four key services to our clients;

Vetted Talent - Spend less time interviewing and more time building by connecting with engineers who have undergone our rigorous vetting process.

The tech talent acquisition market is an $8.1B industry, expected to grow to more than $8.8B within the next 3 years. We intend to be the major player in the African market within the next 5 years. 

We have identified two primary ventures:

  1. Our commission based revenue model is based on successful placement. For outright hires, we receive a percentage of the talent's monthly income for the first twelve months, while we take a larger cut each month for the talent we manage locally, on a recurring basis.

We currently have over 4,000 talents in our talent pool, engaged with 30+ companies, offering our customers $120,000 in services each month. This yielded $14,243 in net revenue last month. The last six month's trends suggest we can expect these figures to grow by roughly 33% MoM.


Our two primary competitors are Andela and Toptal. However, we pride ourselves on our developer-first approach which has yielded higher retention and satisfaction rates on both sides of our network. Through our commitment to supporting our talents with the educational, infrastructural, and financial resources they need to succeed, we observe incredible retention over the course of their careers. 

We are developing tools that will automate the vetting and matching process allowing our product to be superior. Taking as one step closer to an all-in-one super app for our talents, where they can manage their jobs, experiences, finances, mentors, and careers. 

Your funding will be used mainly to onboard our current user base, launch to the public, and pay for feature build-outs. This will in turn help us reach our next milestone by the end of this year.

Our team is well-rounded with top-in-class developers from prestigious computer science programs, a CEO that has over 8 years of experience building and scaling startups from the ground up, a Head of Technology who founded the largest NGO coding school on the Continent, and finally, a Head of Partnerships that has a dozen years of industry experience. 

Our team is uniquely qualified, given our ability to learn from our decades of professional experience, building businesses in Africa as we re-envision the Future of Work.

We hope to have expanded our talent pool to 100,000 individuals -- at least 1,000 of whom are engaged -- by the end of 2022. We anticipate that operating at this scale will generate over $2.8MM in revenue every month.
