Our food, and subsequently our future, is at risk.

Corporate giants control what we eat, how it’s grown, and who profits. Small farmers are under-resourced, displaced, and being priced out. Food deserts are expanding. And in many communities, the promise of nourishing our families has been traded for processed shortcuts and empty shelves.

Once, Black farmers made up 14% of all U.S. agriculture. Today, they are less than 2%. Meanwhile, policies and programs meant to feed our children and support our farms are being cut across the South and beyond, leaving millions hungry and hardworking farmers without support.

This has grave consequences for our health: Chronic diseases—like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease—continue to rise, primarily driven by limited access to fresh, affordable, and nutrient-dense foods. Without local farms to supply our communities, we can’t nourish ourselves in ways that prevent illness and sustain long-term well-being.

We believe the most urgent venture of our time is reclaiming our right to nourish ourselves, cultivate our land, and build true generational wealth, starting with food.

Boycotting and even permanent protests are warranted and appreciated, but we must build and invest to create the systems we deserve and own the solutions we need; you’re buying equity in a better future.
