Because while almost half of us in America own dogs, most of the other half of us would LIKE to, and simply don't for circumstantial reasons and would actually love to spend time with a dog.\u0026nbsp;The average dog owner in NYC spends $5,000 annually on pet care and loneliness is still rising, with recent reports citing 52% of Americans feeling lonely.Social Paws can help both of these populations.\u0026nbsp;By being the platform that brings these two parties together - dog-owners wanting to save money on pet-care and non-owners wanting time with a dog - so that they can be each other's solution with what they already have: dogs and care.\u0026nbsp;Social Paws is live with 550 profiles sharing their unique reasons as to what bring them to Social Paws.\u0026nbsp;Whether their dogs have all passed away like Rodney's or they're \"eternally missing their dogs back home,\" like Akarsh, our non-owners are offering to walk and run with others' dogs.And new dog-dad Lucas overwhelmed with 6-month old puppy, Oreo, might be a perfect match!Social Paws' business model consists of 3 revenue streams.\u0026nbsp;that project a quarter of a billion dollars in total revenue.\u0026nbsp;We plan to run a closed \u0026amp; secure beta test with my NYC neighborhood, Hell's Kitchen, to solidify the formula that gets us to dog-sharingWith product-market fit achieved, we plan to launch our Subscription model in 2025.\u0026nbsp;Social Paws occupies a unique space in the pet landscape. Currently, pet-owners only have the options to pay for pet-care. And non-owners only have the option to commit to fostering or volunteering in order to spend time with a dog. Social Paws is the only opportunity that is free/ relational for dog-owners and convenient/ noncommittal for non-owners. If everyone in the country who wants to dog-share gets to, we project 20 million users on Social Paws between Team Paws, that’s our dog-owners, and Team Social, our non-owners.As a solo founder inspired to make my dog-sharing experience accessible for everyone, I've recruited a fractional, for-equity team of talented designers, developers, and marketers to making dog-sharing a reality.\u0026nbsp;We're all dog-lovers as well, whether we own our own, have lost our own, or appreciate others' dogs.We're focused on building community through dog-events for owners and non-owners.\u0026nbsp;Thus far, we've\u0026nbsp;run 50 events, connecting 900 humans and 300 dogs through pack walks, yappy hours, puppy picnics, and more!We're raising $50K via our WeFunder Community Raise, where everyone in our community is welcome to invest for $100, $1,000, or more. With these funds, we would pay for app development and safety features to run a secure beta test with a NYC neighborhood or two. In NYC, shelters are more overwhelmed than prior to Covid with rising costs are the likely culprit.
