## Story
Sirocco Wind Turbine is a novel and efficient wind generator for urban energy production. With a granted patent in Europe, and over $1 million previously raised. We are now patent-pending in the USA. Sirocco Energy Turbines aim to make clean energy safe, affordable, and easy to use for all. Designed for urban and suburban areas alike - we’re offering the market a new type of wind generator. A key feature being the ability to be installed near people, not out in the middle of nowhere. That means our solution is not only accessible, but it’s also efficient, affordable, customizable, and quiet - solving a range of problems for:In our view, current energy-saving solutions tend to be challenging in cities because of high noise and vibration levels. Sirocco Wind Turbine generates twice as much energy as a classical wind turbine of the same capacity, at a typical wind speed of urban locations, and up to 30% more energy at nominal wind speed. Our 10 kW model requires 3.5 times less space than traditional wind turbines of the same power capacity. The efficiency of space utilization will only grow with capacity increase and can reach up to 10 times difference. This means that we can fit 10 times more wind generators on a given piece of land compared to the traditional models.Unlike typical generators, our wind turbine has not a rotational, but linear motion - similar to how birds’ wings move while flying. Sirocco Wind Turbine is equipped with a wind tracking system, which ensures maximum generation efficiency at every moment. During the storm winds, the turbine stops in a position parallel to the wind direction - making it safe for both people and the mechanism itself. With innovative shape - Sirocco has managed to achieve a lower price per nominal power output compared to other wind generators. We mean it when we say we prioritize accessibility. Our business model is based on turbine leasing, allowing customers to easily start using Sirocco Wind Turbines without an initial investment. This model also creates a stable revenue stream for Sirocco Energy.Global energy investments reached $2.4 trillion in 2022, with the anticipated rise coming mainly in clean energy (source). The global small wind power market was estimated at $7.4 billion in 2020, and is expected to hit $17.1 billion by 2030 (source). This level of growth is expected without factoring in the effect of our product entering the mass market (source).Forward-looking projections are not guaranteed. We have spent more than 6 years on R&D and performed extensive testing of our patented technology. We received funding from the EBRD and successfully raised more than $1 million from the high profile investors. Our team of 12 hails from the backgrounds in marketing, engineering, aerodynamics, and hardware development - collectively making up 183 years of professional experience. We believe the global energy crisis will only progress, and so are the investments in the clean energy. With this capital raise, we will focus on production expansion of our wind turbines, aiming to become an energy distributor. Our price per kW leasing model is already up to 80% in certain states. When looking to the future, the renewable energy sector and urban energy production landscapes are shifting. In 2022 alone Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses was acquired by RWE Renewables Americas for $6.8 billion, and Archaea Energy Inc was acquired by BP for $4.1 billion (source). We believe we’re at the beginning of a potentially huge energy crisis, where companies and households need new affordable solutions, and energy independence. Invest in Sirocco, and invest in efficient, affordable energy for the future! Hear from other investors

## Q&A
- Q: Do you guys plan to move to a big wind niche as well, or that’s not your market?
 - A: Great question, Allan! The unique design Sirocco wind turbine has, gives it a huge advantage - it bypasses the cubic law valid for a conventional turbine (weight and cost scales with the radius*3 while energy production scales with radius*2). So the scaling potential for the Sirocco turbine is incredible. We want to enter an urban/suburban market first because we see fantastic untapped opportunities there. But yes, we do consider Big wind as our technology gonna be extremely relevant in this niche as well.
- Q: Why is it any better than traditional wind turbines?
 - A: Hi Paul! Great question! First of all, the turbine is very compact and doesn’t take up much of the valuable space. Second, Sirocco turbine blades don’t have twisting, so no infrasound associated with the traditional wind generators is produced. The mechanical noise is very low, less than a sound of an air conditioner. Moreover, the construction doesn’t generate damaging vibration. This allows it to be installed near people. Third, maintenance and servicing is easy and inexpensive. Sirocco wind turbines are modular and all elements are standardized. In contrast, if a conventional wind generator needs replacement of the main-shaft bearings, it won’t ever be able to become profitable. Sirocco wind turbines do not have the main shaft, any of the generators or blades can be easily repaired. Moreover, one of the unique features of the technology is the ability to modify the power and rated wind speed even after the turbine's installation. It’s possible by changing the number of blades, number of generators and swept surface area. Fourth, the turbines were designed to work in a low and turbulent urban wind with a high aerodynamic efficiency reaching 50%. Traditional wind turbines work best in the strong wind of 12-18 m/s. And at low 4-8 m/s wind their aerodynamic efficiency coefficient decreases up to 20% (nominal is around 35%). For example, the classical 10 kW wind turbine with a nominal wind speed of 12 m/s at a monthly average wind speed of 7 m/s produces approximately 2050 kWh, so 20% of its potential. Sirocco wind turbine of the same power with a nominal speed of 7 m/s in the same conditions will produce 5100 kWh. That means 149% better electricity production! Fifth, the turbine’s price is much lower and leasing options are available to the customers. For example, factories are one of the largest consumers of electricity, which consume around 620MW annually. The leasing of Sirocco wind turbines will allow them to save almost half the cost of electricity. And of course, the turbine is totally environmentally friendly. Due to the slower movement and higher density of the blades, they are more visible for birds which ensures their safety. All parts of the Sirocco wind turbine can be recycled, including the aluminum blades. In contrast, the blades of traditional wind turbines are made from fiberglass. There is no technology for recycling fiberglass and the blades are just buried on the earth causing damage to the environment. Such a huge range of advantages makes Sirocco turbine suitable for the urban areas and allows it to be used in private houses, apartment buildings, shopping malls, electric vehicle charging stations, factories, and other facilities.
- Q: Such an outstanding design. Love your product!
 - A: Thank you, Melony!
- Q: Once you have a production level prototype, I would recommend aggressively pursuing a certification from the Small Wind Certification Council to immediately separate your potential breakthrough from the many very interesting, highly hyped, but ultimately failed wind energy capture devices of the past. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory produced a Built-Environment Report Summary in 2016 and the Boston Museum of Science also did an experiment with small wind on their roof, in both cases the turbine that was successful at meeting its published power curve was the (now unfortunately discontinued) Skystream 3.7 which was Small Wind Certification Council certified and was basically plug and play with UL1741 power output. Essentially all other wind energy capture devices over promised and under delivered without the challenge of independent verification. Both reports also note the heavy challenge of small wind in urban environments. The significant jump in efficiency (without a significant jump in price) that Sirocco Energy potentially has could swing small wind to a success story in these challenging environments. The proof is in the tested/delivered product. The probability is not in our favor given the number of attempts to solve small wind in the past that have failed, however I am hopeful your design has new approach and therefore I am looking forward to third party test results and even invested a small bit more to hopefully help get you there sooner. Maybe reach out to the Boston Museum of Science to put one of your turbines on their roof and get free publicity when they publish that your turbine easily surpasses all the others? Good luck to the Sirocco Energy team!
 - A: Hi William. Thank you for your valuable inputs! We share your perspective and see certification as one of our priorities as soon as we have the golden sample, which we're working on right now. We have it in our timeline for 2022. Great idea with the Boston Museum of Science. Thank you again for being involved and supporting us!
- Q: Hi Anna, I love the idea - could be transformational. However, I have some questions for you: 1 - Why are there no big VCs (any VCs ?) invested in this or earlier rounds - did they reject your pitch, or did you not approach them (and if not, why) ? 2 - Have any of your claims for high efficiency, low noise, low vibration etc been independently scrutinised and verified ? If not, why not ?
 - A: Hi Nick, 1 - VC is leading this round on WeFunder. We never had rejections from the VCs. We used angel investments and bootstrapping before as it made much more sense for our stage. We do consider VCs for the next round. 2 - We were hiring independent professionals to verify this. We’re planning independent testing and certification in 2022 as well.
- Q: Do you have readings for the sound pollution of the turbine? if they are to be located in residential areas they will have to be quiet
 - A: You're right, Patrick! The sound level from Sirocco wind turbine is 41 dB. To put that into context, an average air conditioner can reach a decibel level of 50 decibels of noise, and most refrigerators run at around 40 decibels.
- Q: The technology just blows my mind. This is the future, I’m in. Good luck, guys!
 - A: Thank you for your investment and support, Rowe!
- Q: Imagine a world where high-efficiency clean energy is everywhere! That's what I'm aiming for and it would be amazing to make that happen!
 - A: Thanks, Maria!
- Q: Shout out to the team at Siricco, who have worked hard & achieved a fantastic goal of raising one million dollars on Wefunder.
 - A: Thank you, Dahlia!
- Q: Your product comes at the right time, and i love the idea. When do you expect to start production?
 - A: Thank you, Marek! We gonna have the first pilots already in 2022.
- Q: Could you comment on how your product differs in terms of efficiency and other attributes from the one offered by Flower Turbines (currently crowdfunding on StartEngine)? Their product appears to target the same (residential/urban commercial) market and claims improved efficiency from clustering.
 - A: Hi Subramanian! The key difference would be efficiency and overall power output results. Any vertical axis wind turbine can't reach aerodynamic efficiency of more than 20-25%. Even conventional wind turbines (horizontal axis) will be much more efficient. In contrast, Sirocco turbines have aerodynamic efficiency up to 50%. What we see from first sight as well, the technology of Flower Turbines is very limited for scaling. Increasing swept area in their case means increasing volume, taking a huge amount of space with low energy output, which doesn't make sense. The unique design Sirocco wind turbine has, gives it a huge advantage - it bypasses the cubic law valid for a conventional turbine (weight and cost scales with the radius*3 while energy production scales with radius*2). So the scaling potential for the Sirocco turbine is incredible. Plus we have a modular construction, which is cheaper in production, power output and nominal wind speed can be adapted to the customer requirements.
- Q: Have you started production already or do you just have prototypes?
 - A: Hi Julien! Thanks for the question. We're at the final stages of the development process. The next step is production for the pilot projects in 2022.
- Q: Hi! I've already invested and wonder if your wind turbines are suitable for the farms as well?
 - A: Hi, Jack! Sure, Sirocco wind turbines usability isn't limited to the urban and suburban environment. Moreover, they can work more efficiently in the farms than conventional turbines as they utilize low and turbulent wind flow (which is common for farms) in a more efficient way.
- Q: Hi guys! The technology looks very promising. Do you own it? What about IP?
 - A: Hi Richard! Thanks for the investment and your question! Yes, we own a patent in Europe and patent-pending in the USA.
- Q: When will Sirocco Energy have another Crowdfunding campaign round again in the future? So currently this round has been canceled and funds refunded to investors, am I correct?
 - A: You're correct. We'll notify you.
