Critical thinking, problem solving, self-sufficiency for my family with regards to clean off-grid power generation, growing our own wholesome food, and creating communities of like-minded families and individuals to share skills and products. I can also climb large trees, build tree forts, play banjo, operate nuclear reactors, and have watched Escape From New York and the Mad Max series a lot of times.
My biggest challenge...
Ensuring that I am balancing my time amongst the portfolio company entrepreneurs and key employees, and fiercely protecting my family time.
I want to invest in...
Scrappy entrepreneurs that are applying technology to market sectors/niches (preferably high cap markets like real estate, for example) to facilitate rapid scaling, reduce friction and to solve lingering market/niche issues with innovation.
I can be most helpful at...
I can be the most helpful to my portfolio company entrepreneurs if they can communicate to me in a timely manner well-bounded problems that I can help them solve, in order of highest priority.
I think we can fix America by...
Totally retool the higher education system's astronomical tuition and fee rates to allow all citizens to access institutions of learning. Many kids are entrepreneurs at heart, and don't need four or five years taking all of these classes that are not essential, are unnecessary, and are of little value compared with a good mentor, targeted training/education and on the job work experiences in paid internships and apprenticeships.
My most influential mentor is...
My high school band instructor, Mr. David Haugen. Anyone that can get 275+ high school students marching around in the dark at 5:30 AM consistently is a wizard in my book. Humor aside, Dave consistently was humble, driven, devoted to his students and the advancement of their musical knowledge and their lives after high school, and generally the type of human that I aspire to be more like.

Curious how well the companies have done? Or how many raised follow-on financing?
Some fine print: 1) These numbers include startups currently live on Wefunder if they pass their minimum target. 2) Some startups use two different laws at the same time (i.e., Regulation D and Regulation Crowdfunding).
