## FAQ
1. **What locations (outside of the US) are supported?**
- Hi Stephen! Presearch is available globally, powered globally with 40k+ nodes )and growing) spread all over the world. We have language support for some countries and will always be continuing to increase that as we are internationally focused, though some regions will be reached first with language support based on size and some other things.
2. **Sorry Jeff, I wasn't clear. I mean regions supported for the WeFunder campaign. I tried and it said my region was not supported.**
- Ah, OK, where are you located? Wefunder says the following: https://help.wefunder.com/investing/who-can-invest and also has some specific steps for international investors https://help.wefunder.com/154992-linked/international-investor-guide. Let me know if this doesn't help and where you are located and I will check with them personally. Thank you Stephen! :)

- Hello Mike, This funding will greatly help the project in different aspects, Increase in marketing, Acceleration of roadmap developments, More hiring, Increase in PRE buybacks, etc. All of this could help the price of PRE and can also be beneficial for node rewards, The team will then continue to work on building the project for the benefit of the community and to be able to achieve a greater reach.

## Q&A
- Q: Hi Tim, it seems based on your Linkedin profile that you are working part-time on Presearch and have another full-time job as a Managing Partner at Psalion. How can you lead a startup operating in a competitive space all while being part-time?
- A: Hi, Lea, thanks for the question! Let me assure you that running Presearch is my (more than) full-time job! I am indeed also the managing director at Psalion, which happens to be the largest investor in Presearch. Psalion VC Fund II, the full name of the VC fund and investor, completed its investment period some time ago. Therefore, it has little ongoing activity. As often happens with VC funds, I have been effectively transferred from Psalion to Presearch. Hope that answers your question.
- Q: As a $5K investor in this round and someone currently building a 1,000-node Presearch deployment (across 10 optimized systems with multi-geo expansion in mind), I’m committed to helping grow the network’s infrastructure. What’s the best way for a large operator like myself to support the long-term health and decentralization of the Presearch ecosystem? Open to any guidance from the team or community as I scale this out over the next several months.
- A: Hi, John! Thanks for the investment -- on both counts ($ and nodes)! John and Jersey are responsible for reach out and I've asked them to reply to you in more detail. However, immediately, just chiming in on social media and someone who knows the project well, is confident in it and has invested (in several ways) in it would be of great help. John@presearch.com has already reached out to you, I believe, and I will ask him and Jersey to give some serious thought to additional ways you and other node runners can add additional value. Thanks again! Tim
- Q: Re exchanges, per Coinmarketcap.com, it seems that Kucoin accounts for about 86% of volumes. What are the plans to diversity the PRE exchange listings?
- A: Hello Dion, Regarding Kucoin, we have a Important annoucement which you can see in detail here t.me/presearchnews/1117 The team has been constantly exploring new exchange alternatives, which has been classified as a priority at this time, Bybit, Coinbase are some prospects although nothing is defined yet, We also expect that the opening of Web3 can open the doors to new exchange opportunities, When we have more information about it we will be communicating. We remain at your disposal for any further questions. Sincerely, Moisés
- Q: Hi PRE team, Please elaborate on the Revenue model for Presearch (Now & into the future wrt the roadmap) Thx.
- A: At its core, the Presearch financial model is based primarily on increasing “impressions” (searches) and monetizing those impressions through the sales of Presearch Takoever Ads (background, or wallpaper ads which do not block search results and which are guaranteed to contain no pixels, cookies, html code or other trackers). Secondarily, monthly recurring revenue (MRR) is generated through ad-free search, PRE GPT Pro, keyword staking, contextual ads, and other mechanisms which will almost certainly be significantly and rapidly expanded upon in the future. The first two uses of proceeds of the WeFunder campaign are designed to allow Presearch to reach break-even as rapidly as possible: increase sales (especially PTA sales) and increase the number of users (leading to a larger number of searches/impressions for PTAs). The first use of proceeds is increasing sales; the second is user acquisition. In keeping with its tradition of a laser focus on execution, Presearch has essentially “front run” the first use of proceeds and, within the past three weeks, hired its first full-time sales force: Dan and Chris. They have already contributed to March 2025 PTA revenue. Similarly, by advertising the user acquisition position and screening dozens of candidates, we have already identified five excellent candidates and will interview them all early this coming week. We fully expect to have a full-time hire agreed to before the end of March and working hard by the beginning of April. Therefore, we think that there is a very good possibility that we will reach profitability even more quickly than the 6-9 months indicated in our WeFunder deck. Our goal is to do so by the end of June. If we are even close to hitting that goal, Presearch will easily meet or exceed the 2025 and 2026 revenue projections in the WeFunder deck. Already, there has been a major increase in revenue between January and February, and that looks to continue in March. (More details will be provided during the AMA this week, although final March numbers won’t be available until early April.) As important, the number of daily searches has also recently begun to increase, even before the start of the user acquisition specialist. (We suspect that the increase is due to our efforts related to the WeFunder campaign, but since we collect absolutely no data on users, that is at best an educated guess.) So the “flywheel” (or virtuous circle) has already begun picking up RPMs: more sales means more user acquisition and vice versa. As we move the flywheel faster and faster, the value of Presearch should increase in the same fashion. And all of that is before the effects of the proprietary, AI-centric, decentralized search engine the design contract for which we are well on our way to negotiating (yet again front running a use of proceeds). I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if you’d like any additional information.
- Q: I have reviewed the roadmap, but I do not see how PRE will be used in the future. Will you be developing a new token, or will PRE remain the token for the project going forward? If PRE is to remain going forward will the tokenomics change? I have been running nodes for several years now, what happens to my nodes in the future?
- A: D, you raise a great point and post a great question! First and most importantly, let me say that the PRE token is *critical* to Presearch now and in the future and is not going anywhere! Second, Brenden and I reviewed the roadmap and there are actually quite a few references to the token (notably, the reference to the disinflation goal by the end of this year). Third, though, is that there are many implicit references to the token (such as specialty nodes which will require PRE to be operated) which are clearly too vague. In some ways, we are simply too close to the project and "read in" to what's actually written. So, when we see "specialty nodes" we think to ourselves "more PRE will be staked" and utility will further increase, but that is not a step that everyone would see. So, Brenden is going to go through the roadmap tomorrow (Sunday, 16 Mar) and ensure that all of the references to the PRE token are clear and explicit. Hopefully, that will fully address this issue for you and others. By all means, let me know if that's not the case.
- A: Hello D Kong, Just to add something additional, no other token other than PRE will be created, It is currently used for different functions within the platform, Pregpt payment, free ad search payment, positioning keywords at the top of search results, Search Stake, Node Stake And the use cases could continue to increase Consolidating its usefulness and usability within the platform
- Q: Hello Jeff, Hello Moises; I've been using presearch and other privacy projects for quite a while. Now, as a book author, I am working on a publication about the web projects that truly respect user privacy, so they can reach a wider audience. I'm EU based but also translate my works to english. I could feature the opportunity of investing into this project. Is there any way I can get rewarded with a percentage when an entity invests on your project through me?
- A: Hello Franz, I really appreciate your inquiry and am pleased to learn that you are working on an article about privacy in Web3 projects—it is a fascinating and relevant topic. Regarding your question, the benefits are currently targeted to those who choose to invest in the project. These benefits vary based on the level or amount of investment made. At this time, we do not have an established referral mechanism; however, I suggest you contact Tim directly to discuss this point in more detail. He will be able to conduct a more thorough assessment and provide you with precise guidance on the viability of your approach. I am sure Tim will review your message here and provide a response. Additionally, I am providing his email address so you can write to him directly and present your proposal: tim@presearch.io. Thank you again for your interest and communication with us. We remain at your disposal for any further questions. Sincerely, Moisés
- Q: I invested last March in Presearch thru Wefunder.com/presearch. Would someone be able to contact me concerning some questions I have. Thanks for your help S. Thompson
- A: Of course, if you can send a note to invest@presearch.com, we'd be more than happy to follow up there.
- Q: I have two questions, I'll start with a very simple one: I think investing 500$ or more would get you some perks for your PreSearch account. How/when can these be claimed? >>> The second question is a bit more complex. I would like to promote PreSearch in my company. I am in a position where I can set the default search engine for some 6000 people. However, there is no corporate management option (SSO, GPO's, etc.). I am also missing some API's (search suggestions for your browser). And most importantly: I cannot provide users with a search engine that shows page wide ads, and ads for all kinds of crypto stuff all (or some of) the time. For me to be able to set PreSearch as the default it would need to be manageable to some degree. I would also need something of a motivation why PreSearch is more sustainable than Google. Something like contrachrome.com but for PreSearch. <<< Are there any plans to help companies with any of the above?
- A: Mark, Thanks for the questions! the perks are outlined on the WeFunder page. Hover over Investment Perks on the bottom right of the home page and you will see them. You can also find a more detailed description here: https://medium.com/@presearch/get-your-perk-on-exclusive-presearch-investor-rewards-and-shareholder-benefits-2e39741a1fbb As for the second comment, ad-free search is the answer, which we already offer. To work with your company may require something more robust, in which case we need to work with you and the devs. Could you please send me an email with a few more details of what you're looking for? tim@presearch.com I will share it with Todd and Brenden and we'll see what we can do ASAP! Regards, Tim
- Q: Hello team, re: burn rate, do you know how many months of runway $300k - $1,200k provides before you seek further investment? Thanks.
- A: Hi, Patrick! At the lower end, we'll have enough funding to reach profitability (on track as of the last AMA on Friday) and enough to sign and execute the prop search engine design contract, but not enough to really start implementing. On the higher end, we can do all of that. The timing of a Series A round will depend on that, although it should be an up round in either case -- the amount will determine timing and amount of the "up". In the first case, may raise late this year/early next year; in the latter case, sometime next year. Hope that answers you question! Regards, Tim
- Q: Hello, as an investor in Presearch and a user / node operator, how do we get the investment perks?
- A: Hi Ali, so yes the Wefunder Interface is not intuitive when it comes to viewing our investor Perk details since you have to hover over where it says "Investor Perks" in the bottom fine print of the raise tracking card on the right, but, we made it easier by posting all the details clearly on our blog. Here is the link: https://news.presearch.io/get-your-perk-on-exclusive-presearch-investor-rewards-and-shareholder-benefits-2e39741a1fbb We're always happy to field any other questions you may have and can reach us at invest@presearch.com
- Q: Hi Tim, one blockchain that caught my eye due to its web3 focus and performance stats is SUI. They quote impressive speed and low costs - looks very interesting: https://sui.io/
- A: Hi, Dion! Yes, Sui has really come on strong and I like it very much. When we did a quite complete blockchain analysis about a year ago, Sui was not really on our radar. Now it is. Before we expand to a third blockchain, we'll take another close look at the entire landscape. Thanks! Tim
- A: Thanks for the suggestions 👍.
- Q: Hi Tim and Team, I see PRE is on the Ethereum blockchain - would you ever consider migrating to another blockchain if attractive performance warrants this? Thanks Tim, I will look into Base. One BC that caught my eye due to it's stats is SUI. They quote impressive speed and low costs - looks very interesting: https://sui.io/
- A: Love this question, Dion, since PRE is *already* on another blockchain: Base. It's been listed there for about six months and that's the chain we're using for full Web3 (the beta for which started last week). We have also explored other blockchains for putting more data on chain (even Base would be too expensive for that). Cosmos would be a good candidate, for instance, but there are others. Just let me know if that doesn't fully address your question. Regards, Tim
- Q: Hi Tim, I have two questions: (1) How user friendly is setting is setting up a Presearch Node vs other comparable nodes and can a novice accomplish this or does one have to have high levels of tech knowledge? (2) It seems that there was a change in ownership resulting in your and Psalion VC Fund II's involvement. Please provide some more colour around how this change occurred and a pre/post synopsis of the business, token and traction/future potential. Thanks.
- A: Dion, 1) It's actually quite straightforward, particularly compared to some other projects. You can find detailed instructions in several formats here: (a) https://docs.presearch.io/nodes/overview, (b) https://docs.presearch.io/nodes/setup, and (c) https://t.me/PresearchNodes 2) Sure! Prior management asked to take over the project about 18 months ago. I agreed, subject to restructuring, and brought in Psalion (in which I'm also a participant). The old company was Canadian and in very poor condition; the current company is a Delaware C corp, is in *far* better shape and is making massive strides in terms of executing on its business plan. We have fixed all historical issues and have begun executing and growing, hence the WeFunder campaign. Please let me know if you have any further questions on either topic. Tim
- A: Hello Dion, Creating a node is really a simple step which you will see reflected in the documents, The requirements are also very basic and you will only need a VPS server, your own PC, a Raspberry Pi or services from companies like Flux that provide support to the nodes, Have Docker installed and place the corresponding scripts according to the guide (You can only run one node per IPV4 so you need to take that into account). You can also receive support in the official Telegram and Discord groups. t.me/PresearchNodes discord.gg/ZpbM2GFr You can ask any questions in these groups, thank you.
- Q: Hi, this hybrid model (corporate and token) always confuses me. I have a few questions: 1. Will the PRE token ever have a staking yield? What is the source of rev for staking yield? Is it transactions? Why do you even need the PRE token to pay the node operators? I guess i am partly questioning the utility of PRE token. Will the advertising revs go to the company? or will a portion go to token staking yield? I mean nodes are the backbone of the network and 38K nodes is a great thing. Any other competitive edge that Presearch has? Thanks!
- A: Gagan, I know the feeling. However, explicitly or implicitly almost all token projects actually pose this conundrum. There's almost always a legal entity somewhere behind the project, so the question inevitably arises: does the value accrue to the legal entity (shares) or to the token? The answer is virtually always "both", so the real question becomes in what proportion. With Presearch, we're addressing the issue head on and trying to maximize the value of both. PRE has all kinds of utility and that will increase (tokenomics) and the shares have value, which is based on the fiat aspect of the business (economics). As to your questions: 1. PRE has had staking yield for years! The source is the tokens held by the company. Our target by the end of the year is to make the token slightly deflationary. Since Presearch.com, Inc. acquired the project, we've made enormous strides in this direction already. Then we should see steady appreciation in the token price. The token is also used for search staking to increase the rewards for searching, as well as for keyword staking and purchasing Presearch additional services (ad-free search. PRE GPT, etc.) Making these micropayments in fiat would not be practical, even today, the PRE has a definite role to play and *lots* of utility. Of course, advertising revenue goes to the company. Currently, 5% of that revenue is used to purchase PRE on the market, and that percentage will increase steadily as Presearch increases monetization. It's very much worth it for Presearch to do so because, to your point, it if didn't pay node runners in PRE, it would have to pay them another way. In either event, it's an expense of the business to maintain the decentralized node network that must be covered. Presearch has a number of truly solid USPs (unique selling propositions). The main ones are outlined in the Wefunder deck: total privacy (as Presearch does not collect personal data), no data released through ads (absolutely no tracking, pixels, cookies, etc.), no profiling (because of the truly one-of-a-kind decentralized node network) and better search results due to that, search to earn (see "search staking" above), PRE GPT 2.0 with very low guardrails. tracking-free maps, NSFW, etc. If I've missed anything, just let me know! Regards, Tim
- Q: Are there any future changes to PRE tokenomics?
- A: D, first, we should note how the tokenomics have been radically improved over the past 18 months. The price doesn't reflect it, but the situation before we bought Presearch assets was a total disaster. Now, in stark contrast, the tokenomics are far more healthy and, most importantly, totally transparent! As for the future, including the very near future, there will be massive improvements in tokenomics. Among the changes: 1) The beta for Web3 on BASE will start next Tuesday. That should be huge for the PRE token! 2) Target to make the tokenomics disinflationary v. mildly inflationary today (less than 0.5% per month) by the end of this year 3) More emphasis on ad-free search, PRE GPT Pro and other services which can today be paid for in PRE; also, we will add to that list of services 4) The addition of specialized nodes (crawling, indexing, etc.) as we start to roll out the prop, AI-centric, decentralized search engine (the development contract is already well on its way to being signed) 5) Additional uses for the PRE token. Numerous negotiations are underway with a variety of projects to use the PRE token in other contexts. 6) List the token on additional exchanges. This has become a priority (I was thoroughly convinced by the community!), especially in North America. 7) The last point is a catchall: we spend huge amounts of time working on PRE tokenomics in light of current developments (see the PRE BASE listing and Web3). I'm sure there will be several additional developments that didn't make this list today. Please let me know if you have any further questions! Regards, Tim
