You are not just investing for a return, you’re joining a vision for our future. You see what others miss: that we're not building another charging company. We're reimagining how an entire nation powers its future. The status quo is broken. 117 million Americans live in apartments, locked out of the EV revolution by an infrastructure that forgot they existed. While our competitors build expensive monuments to their own limitations, we asked a different question: What if every outlet could be a charging station? Here's what gets me up every morning: we are creating a new charging future. PowerPac doesn't just charge cars; it democratizes energy access. Cameo doesn't just share chargers; it creates a peer-to-peer energy economy.Together we’re building something unprecedented: a complete ecosystem that works anywhere, for anyone, without compromise. This isn't incremental improvement. This is the future, and it's elegant in its simplicity. Plug in. Charge up. Power everything. The numbers tell the story, but they don't capture the magic. We're riding a wave from $500 billion to $1.5 trillion by 2030. Over 2,000 locations are already lined up for our California launch, with 6 million more waiting in the wings. But here's what excites me most: we're not just building a company, we're empowering the future for a sustainable planet. Every apartment dweller who can finally go electric, every stranded driver who finds power when they need it, every community that becomes energy-independent is the real return on your investment. ## Q&A
- Q: Greetings, Perhaps I missed it, but do you have a spec sheet, or even a draft spec sheet, on the PowerPac. Some of the charge rate/discharge rate/kWh numbers have me scratching my head. Specifically, per unit, what is the charge rate at 120 V (assuming a full 12 amps on a 15 amp breaker circuit, or are we talking up to 15 amps on a 20 amp circuit?), charge rate at 240 V (assuming up to 40 amps on a 50 amp breaker?, with a NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 plug?), discharge rate to vehicle, and storage capacity in kWh. Are the units stackable? Seem like they are in the promotional video, with three of them stacked. Could you please clarify if the specs being provided are for the 3 units, as pictured in the video, or for each unit. How many can be stacked vertically? Thank you.
- A: Hello, Apologize for the delay in responding. We're not providing specs until we're ready to ship so you'll have to scratch your head for a bit yet. Suffice to say that the input will tune down to what is available and the output will be compliant with delivering J1772 and NAS rated charge. I believe we're testing for 14-50 plug. And yes, the units are stackable.
- Q: Following on the valuation question, it sounds like you are saying that the first $150k is finding at a $9.11M pre-money valuation ("Early Bird valuation is $9.26M") and selling at $0.50 per share. Is it accurate to say that there are ~18m share issued? What is the legal entity of Power Hero, and where is it registered?
- A: Hi Steve, Thanks for your question as I am sure it will help other investors. I'm not sure where $9.11M got into the picture but to be exact, the Early Bird valuation is $9,248,599 and there are 18,497,198 issued shares on a fully-diluted basis, excluding options of 4.4M reserved for employees, directors, and contractors. The options are intended for recruiting, post financing. Power Hero is a Delaware company. If you are thinking about valuation, I gave a fairly detailed review on that in an earlier question. Let me know if you have other questions.
- Q: How do you secure the charging units?
- A: There is a lever on top of the nozzle that clamps the nozzle to the EV charging inlet. When we plug the Cameo onto the charger nozzle the lever will clamp onto our Cameo and we will place a metal band around the lever with a padlock.
- Q: Hi Esmond, Great job with the webinar on Sunday! I love the fact that you are offering a 50% discount for the first $150k in investments. Can you please briefly explain the reason behind this discount? Should we be worried that the Company desperately needs cash due to a low runway? Thank you, Glenn
- A: Ha, but good question though. I have done many startups and timing is everything and I want to get PowerPac to market in Q4 this year. For that, our existing funds can carry us while we take our time with our Wefunder campaign. However, by gettng some money fast we are now able to put another team on Cameo and accelerate bringing that to market by one quarter. Now we have two horses in the race. Why the rush to market? It's because I see the big players waking up next year and realize their biz model sucks. If I were them I would be scrambling for a new plan and new products. They can switch gears and develop new products or buy us. Not that I would sell ... but it doesn't hurt to be courted. Who knows but that should open up some interesting licensing opportunities too. Also, you may not have noticed that we had to extend the Early Bird Bonus from $100K to $150K to accommodate overage in demand. The remaining Bonus should be taken up soon. Finally, we're in the beginning cycle of a huge BOOM so we can afford giving our evangelists a deserved bonus. Hope that answers your question. Esmond
- Q: I must have missed the ambassador email mentioned in the Webinar. Where can I get more information? I'm certainly an EV evangelist 😃 if nothing else.
- A: No problem. Here's the link to the program. Anyone can go to this link to join. It's free. https://ambassador.crowdigy.com/powerhero Look forward to your participation. If you have any questions feel free to write to IR@powerhero.com. Or pose another question here.
- Q: Hi Esmond, how do you plan to compete with wireless charging EV companies such as HEVO? Do you think traditional charging companies and wireless charging companies can co-exist? Thank you, Glenn
- A: Hi Glenn, I will actually be addressing this very topic at our upcoming webinar this Sunday. But a quick response is that we don't compete with HEVO. Also, traditional and wireless charging companies will likely co-existI just as wireless phone charging and cable charging have co-existed for over a decade for various reasons. And like wireless phones, both wireless and cable charging will continue to be available on the EV. From my perspective, I believe that HEVO is best suited for commercial applications such as auto cabs and trucking while our application is targeted at the general consumer. In particular we offer the advantage of non-invasive implementation, meaning we use existing infrastructure, 120V household wiring circuits. Consider apartment complexes, do you think apartment residents will be able to install wireless charging even if they had an assigned stall? Don't forget that there are only 4M EVs on the road in America and there's another 290M ICE cars using gasoline that needs to be replaced with zero-emission vehicles. So in summary, we would love to see HEVO thrive as that means the EV charging industry is addressing every avenue to promote clean transportation which is to our collective benefit Esmond Founder & Exec Chairman
- Q: Hello, first congrats on your success to date. This has the potential to disrupt the EV market, by addressing the fundamental problem of charging, by changing the model from public stations to P2P stations. My question is on the economics of the first generation device. 1. About how many miles can the device hold in a single charge? 2. About how how long does it take to charge the device for 120V or 240V? 3. About how long does the device take to charge an EV car? (Assuming the portal battery charger model.) 4. About much would the electric companies charge for fully charging the device, in the LA/NYC markets? 5. In the Q&A you mention leasing the devices for ~$150/month. Would that include cellular (I assume) network connectivity? What about maintenance and repairs? 6. For the revenue model, would it only be purchase/lease of devices or would you also take a portion of P2P revenue for connecting buyer and seller? 7. About how much does these devices weigh? (Are they easy enough to transport for someone who had a long commute to work or wanted to use for travel.) 8. Who do you view as your closet competitor and what's your advantage? 9. Reviewing the patents, it looks like all Assignees are Power Hero Corp., but confirming the company (the one we're investing in this CF round) does in fact own the rights and not just "leasing" from the inventor, as some other CFs do? 10. Last, Q4 2025 is fast approaching. Do you have a launch date? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
- A: Wow, thanks for the questions. Please bear with me as I try my best to answer them as I understand them and keep in mind that there are a lot of variables. Here goes: 1. About how many miles can the device hold in a single charge? The PowerPac can be configured and operated in two modes; first, as a fixed charger connected to a 120V power source or secondly by wheeling the PowerPac to the EV to charge it. In the fixed mode, the PowerPac can continue to charge the EV at 120V after first providing the EV with a fast charge at 240V forabout 90 minutes. This is the dual-charge fixed mode configuration which can deliver up to 80 miles of range if the EV remains connected to the PowerPac AND the PowerPac remains connected to an active 120V power source. The mobile wheeled 5 kWh PowerPac can provide up to 30 miles of range in a single charge. CAVEAT: depends on the EV brand and model. 2. About how how long does it take to charge the device for 120V or 240V? The current PowerPac model is designed to take in 120V charge and output at 240V. It takes up to 1 hour to charge a 5 kWh PowerPac depending on the household voltage as such outlets range from 110V to 120V. Our patent also provides for taking in power at 240V. 3. About how long does the device take to charge an EV car? (Assuming the portal battery charger model.) Keep in mind that our business model is to provide fast Level 2 charging with a 120V household power source so as to provide enough charge for the average EV driver with about 30 miles of driving range. In that regard, depending on the EV model and PowerPac configuration, a single battery module PowerPac will take between 90 to 120 minutes to give an EV about 30 miles. 4. About much would the electric companies charge for fully charging the device, in the LA/NYC markets? Electricity bills vary based on different state, county, city energy rates, utility fees, and local taxes. But as of April 2025, the average electricity rate in California is 31.77 cents per kWh while New York state is 25.67 cents per KWh. Also, the cost of fully charging a PowerPac depends on the configuration of the PowerPac as to the number of battery modules ordered. We didn’t see that as an issue because we anticipate that the cost of electricity consumed at home at off-peak hours should always be less than paying for charging at a public Level 2 charging station, and even at parity, the convenience value of charging at home should win out. 5. In the Q&A you mention leasing the devices for ~$150/month. Would that include cellular (I assume) network connectivity? What about maintenance and repairs? As a Verizon Wireless partner, we have negotiated favorable data rates so our lease charge includes cellular network connectivity. Our prior experience with a similar battery storage product albeit of 1.5 kWh capacity suggests that our failure rates would not significantly impact profitability, and maintenance rates are anticipated to be nominal given the modular design architecture wherein parts can be quickly interchanged to minimize repair times. 6. For the revenue model, would it only be purchase/lease of devices or would you also take a portion of P2P revenue for connecting buyer and seller? We plan to offer outright purchase for municipalities and businesses, but only lease to purchase, and pure leasing for consumers. Also, we plan to share leasing revenues with distributors and building management/owners. 7. About how much does these devices weigh? (Are they easy enough to transport for someone who had a long commute to work or wanted to use for travel.) Current battery module prototypes weigh about 40 lbs. However, our business model currently focuses on simply satisfying the average commuting distance of 30 miles one-way before we address other market segments. We believe that the demand from this huge market segment is more than sufficient to generate overwhelming revenues and profits so that we can march towards an IPO which is our strategic objective. Nonetheless, we plan to offer future configurations that can be transported for extended travel. Such configurations are also expected to be part of our mobile charging station design. 8. Who do you view as your closet competitor and what's your advantage? We do not see the current field of EV charging companies as competitors because we believe they employ designs that require an input voltage of 240V which requires retrofitting the building’s electrical infrastructure. Power Hero’s PowerPac does not require a retrofit. That, and our strong IP foundation of 17 issued patents and trade secrets accumulated through the design cycle are our biggest advantages. 9. Reviewing the patents, it looks like all Assignees are Power Hero Corp., but confirming the company (the one we're investing in this CF round) does in fact own the rights and not just "leasing" from the inventor, as some other CFs do? Esmond Goei, the author of all the patents have assigned all patent ownership to Power Hero. 10. Last, Q4 2025 is fast approaching. Do you have a launch date? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. We have not set a specific launch date because that depends on how quickly we get funded, but at this time we believe we can keep to a Q4 launch based on our current cash balance which will be supplemented by drawing down on investments as they become available. Esmond Goei Exec Chairman & Founder
- Q: Hi Esmond, I'm curious to hear how you plan on defending both cameo and powerpac. What prevents a competitor making a similar product? Do you have utility patents? Can you comment a bit more on defending your IP.
- A: Cameo and PowerPac are both patented. Some aspects are quite fundamental. And we also have some trade secrets. The features shown are not all that we have covered. In any case we shouldn’t nor want to publicly discussed patent protection strategies.
- Q: What is the company's valuation?
- A: Thank you again for bringing up that question. Valuation can get crazy but I believe our valuation is also substantiated by the value of our 15 issued patents and at least 10 more applications that are pending.
- A: Excluding options, Early Bird valuation is $9.26M. Afterwards is $18.5M. But let's not forget that we are just on the ground floor of a tremendous opportunity. America has 292 million autos on the road today, only 4 million are EVs. The majority of EVs are owned or leased by people living in landed homes with a private garage which gives them the 'luxury' of convenience of 'home charging'. J.D. Power reports that some 64% of EV owners have installed home Level-2 EV chargers, up from 50% two years ago. That's a testament to wanting home convenience. That's what Power Hero offers, home charging convenience for apartment tenants with EVs or those contemplating getting an EV. So, we feel that our valuation is fair given the size of the opportunity and our stage of development with 4 products nearing market introduction.
- Q: I was checking my portfolio on Wefunder today, and I noticed a change for my Power Hero investment. It *used* to say "2x" for Multiplier -- now it only says "1x". Why?
- A: I think it has to do with timing of your investment and funds clearance. The 2X valuation applies if your investment cleared within the $300K threshold for the 50% price discount then you would have twice as many shares as the effective price would have been 50 cents which would be seen to be valued at 2X against a market price of $1. Wefunder is the one that keeps track of that. If your fund didn't clear in time and others did ahead of you within the $300K threshold then you didn't get shares at 50 cents, so you only got shares at $1 er share. Please ask Wefunder for further clarification.
- Q: What is the rough target sales price per unit? thx
- A: Hi Roy, we plan to lease out the PowerPac between $100 to $150 per month and hope to bundle the monthly payments into the lease payments for an EV.
- Q: Hi Esmond, I've been following your progress and based on your previous success have high confidence--- the future is EV's for everyone so Power Hero has the right product. My Crowdfund club has 29k members who will understand when I explain how compelling your offering is. Please use this link to set a time to discuss sending your offering investors: Calendly.com/mark-perlmutter Thanks, Mark PlanetPositiveInvesting.com
- A: Hi Mark, I have booked a time. Look forward to our discussion. Esmond
- Q: how do you prevent someone from stealing the unit while it is charging a car? How much will it retail for?
- A: Matt, I didn't realize that I didn't answer your first question on theft prevention. First recognize that theft is a societal issue and prevention has to be balanced with cost and consequence. Nonetheless, we're working on both deterrence and prevention options:(1) securing the unit to a wheel of the EV. (2) securing to a fixed anchor to be installed. (3) Theft Alarm and onboard video camera. (4) Auto-Electrical shutdown & Lock. (5) GPS locating. Appropriate WARNINGS will be fixed to the unit.
- A: Hi Matt, we haven't quite settled on a firm price yet as we are assessing the overall cost of ownership of the EV owner. Preliminary data suggests that EV owners without home charging are spending as much as $300 monthly on public charging. Our modeling of a 5-yr leasing package at $150 per month appears doable for a profitable business, and there are other considerations that would increase profitability if we so choose. In addition there are residual benefits that we would gain from maintenance renewals as the batteries have a 10-year life. We have also found acceptance for a retail price of $8500 for a 15 kWh unit. However, we do not want to lose sight of our social commitment to promote clean transportation and we intend to maintain a balance between that and profitability.
- Q: Hi, For the cameo, can you tell me who the target market is. Are we going after small business owners with a level 2 charger outside their business or homeowners with a level 2 charger? Based on you answer can you describe how you plan on capturing those customers and what (if any) feedback has been from these markets? For the powerpac similar question. Can you go into detail your core target market and how you will sell to them. Direct to consumer? Bundle with car dealerships? White label for solar/battery/charging contractors? How do you plan on selling to rental partnerships at scale? Final question: Depending how you answered above can you comment on evidence you have to suggest a good market fit. Do you already have contracts, LOIs etc showing proof of it. Thanks, David
- A: Hi David, First, thank you for your significant Reservation. The Cameo is targeted primarily at homeowners with a private driveway or garage but it is also deployable by any one that owns a Level-2 charger that is accessible and is not already connected to a service network. But first, recognize that the purpose of the Cameo is to create an EV Charging "Airbnb" whereby homeowners offer their home Level-2 charger for rent, by reservation. That brings up the "chicken or egg" conundrum as to which comes first, the Cameo-enabled EV charger host (or "Hero" as we call them) or the subscriber to our Cameo "Airbnb" service. A charger owner might not be interested to be a host without a reasonable expectation of earning money from their Cameo-enabled charger rental. Our plan is to market to mixed-housing areas that have a combination of high-rises and landed detached and semi-detached homes with chargers within walking distance of the high-rises. I don't want to reveal our marketing plan but we would marry-up the Level-2 charger owners with nearby apartment residents looking for local charging. We believe we will find matching opportunities whereby we can establish long term charging contracts between charger owners and apartment EV owners because that's a win-win solution. These apartment EV owners could leave their EV to charge overnight with a Cameo-enabled host and walk home and we would facilitate rental collections. We expect that the parties would be interested in a monthly lease. Such hosts could easily support 5 EV owners by designating one night a week to each EV client and keep the weekends for themselves. For PowerPac, one obvious marketing channel as you already surmised are EV dealerships, and EV manufacturers. We do plan to provide PowerPacs as part of their EV sales as a bundled option and piggyback on their financing system for lease collections. We have had discussions with a couple of car manufacturers to know there is interest but we need to have products for sale before we can move that needle. Hence this Wefunder financing. We also plan to reach the apartment EV owner directly through the same outreach channel we use for Cameo marketing and expect to produce numerous sales from residents of the building. Through contact with a number of multi-family building owners we know that they are keen on acquiring PowerPacs to attract EV owners as tenants but we do not have contracts yet. Some would just like to place an order which we hope will happen after we complete our Wefunder campaign and get into manufacturing. As to prospective sales we will first reach out to our list of 2,000 plus registrants that expressed interest in being beta users. We have no immediate plans for white-labelling at this time but we are already in contact with a South Korean battery manufacturer for strategic partnering. I probably didn't give you all the details that you were looking for but I think you can appreciate the need for confidentiality on our marketing and operating plans until we are production ready. A couple of last words on Cameo; Volkswagen France has launched a charging "Airbnb" with manual reservation protocols just as Airbnb did in its early beginnings. Our Cameo could automate that project, and in that regard I have had some back-door discussions with former VW execs, but no promises there. Finally, if you're trying to assess the potential for Cameo, think about this: Airbnb has about 7 million listed homes for rent; so, if people are willing to let strangers into their bedrooms, I think EV charger owners would be happy to earn money letting EV owners into their garages to rent their chargers. Esmond
