## FAQ
1. **This is absolutley fascinating. NOAA has very nice explantion of this as well (https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/feature-story/whales-and-carbon-sequestration-can-whales-store-carbon). Is there an estimate of what percent of the CO2 rise is due over-whaling?**
 - There are a few sources on this but one I find easy to understand is that before industrial whaling, sperm whale populations were an order of magnitude higher (Baker & Clapham 2002) and the reduction in sperm whale numbers owing to whaling has resulted in an extra 2 106 tonnes of carbon remaining in the atmosphere annually (figure 1). This is a previously overlooked impact of industrial whaling. See https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20554546/ and also this from Nat Geo: https://www.national...
2. **hello can you please explain how/when the Wefunder investment (ie SAFEs) will convert to equity? apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere thanks**
 - Whenever Positive Polar LLC sells Preferred Units (an Equity Financing) or sells $2.5M+ of converting securities (a SAFE Financing), whichever is sooner, the SAFE will convert into equity. When the SAFE converts, it will convert into equity at a $10M valuation (the Valuation Cap) or at the valuation of the Equity Financing, whichever is better for the investor.
3. **thank you for responding to my previous question. A second one, listening to your recent interviews, it is mentioned that you need to raise a certain amount in order to release the vessel/ship. Can you please tell me what will happen to investments should you not reach the req...**
 - Thank you for considering an investment in Positive Polar and its impactful mission. We appreciate you asking this important question, as we're sure many investors will have similar thoughts. In short, as you may know, there's several goals for a fundraising campaign and we have reached the first one that allows us to move forward. For your specific question, we will move through Phase 1 of the whale biomimicry technology development with the funds raised (see s8 of the pitch deck for the pro...
4. **Good day at all, On the details page, it shows an outstanding debt of around 2M USD from loans provided by President Jenn Bonilla and one of the Board Members, Ansgar Müschen. How are you thinking going to pay that?, thanks for your attention**
 - Thank you very much for your thoughtful question. The loans you are referring to were provided by our President, Jenn Bonilla, and Board Member, Ansgar Müschen, to support the company’s growth during an earlier stage. These obligations are being fully resolved through conversion into equity, which both strengthens our balance sheet and demonstrates the long-term commitment of our leadership team. Board Member Ansgar Müschen has already converted his loan into equity at the same $10M valuation...
5. **How does the company make money? And will investors receive any returns? Or is this a charitable donation?**
 - Just as shown in the deck, the company will initially generate returns through programs implemented onboard partner cruise lines, and later through operations with our own ship. Once the technology is developed, the company will generate revenue from environmental credits and from licensing the technology to other cruise lines and shipping companies.

- Q: This is absolutley fascinating. NOAA has very nice explantion of this as well (https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/feature-story/whales-and-carbon-sequestration-can-whales-store-carbon). Is there an estimate of what percent of the CO2 rise is due over-whaling?
 - A: There are a few sources on this but one I find easy to understand is that before industrial whaling, sperm whale populations were an order of magnitude higher (Baker & Clapham 2002) and the reduction in sperm whale numbers owing to whaling has resulted in an extra 2 106 tonnes of carbon remaining in the atmosphere annually (figure 1). - Q: Hi, I run a crowdfund club with 30k members since inception: Planet Positive Investing. What is your exit plan for investors in this crowdfund offering? Thanks, Mark
 - A: Capital raise to acquire another ship in Yr 4 (2029) provides opportunities for investors to exit at ~8x today’s valuation, in year 6 (2031) at ~ 20x initial investment and in year 9 (2034) at ~65x. According to our estimations and as it's shown in the Pitch. Fleet expansion owning fully a ship expected by year 2030 and IPO expected by year 2032. - A: Thank you very much for your thoughtful question. Board Member Ansgar Müschen has already converted his loan into equity at the same $10M valuation cap that is currently being offered to investors in this campaign. President Jenn Bonilla is in the process of converting her loan into equity under an even higher valuation, which is more favorable for new investors and reflects her confidence in the company’s trajectory. This means that instead of cash repayment, these debts are being transformed into equity ownership, aligning leadership’s interests directly with those of all current and future investors. We believe this is a strong signal of confidence in the company’s future and ensures that all stakeholders are aligned toward long-term value creation.
- Q: thank you for responding to my previous question. A second one, listening to your recent interviews, it is mentioned that you need to raise a certain amount in order to release the vessel/ship. - A: Thank you for considering an investment in Positive Polar and its impactful mission. We appreciate you asking this important question, as we're sure many investors will have similar thoughts. In short, as you may know, there's several goals for a fundraising campaign and we have reached the first one that allows us to move forward. For your specific question, we will move through Phase 1 of the whale biomimicry technology development with the funds raised (see s8 of the pitch deck for the project plan). Securing the ship in a timely way makes subsequent phases related to prototyping and testing much more efficient and will significantly speed up our launch timeline. In the unlikely scenario that the preferred ship has an issue or anything before we take possession of it, please know that we have other ships under consideration as backups to ensure our progress is not hindered. The valuation will improve once we have progressed through the phases so the moment to invest is now.
