For seniors, it is usually the lack of consistent and reliable caregivers. For busy professionals, it is the lack of time to make that extra trip to the pharmacy. Others just hate going to the pharmacy and standing in long lines. We are bringing a solution that will cater to everyone.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.S, we noticed an increase in the rate of prescription abandonment especially amongst seniors and immunocompromised who were scared of catching the virus. Some of the big chain pharmacies responded to this by offering free two days delivery via the postal service\u0026nbsp;which became overwhelmed and proved unreliable leaving many patients frustrated and without their medications.\u0026nbsp;The SolutionPills2Me now serves\u0026nbsp;this vulnerable population by providing easy access to essential medications while maintaining social distancing.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;With our App, AVAILABLE on the Apple App \u0026amp; Google Play stores, users order their prescription(s) to be picked up from ANY pharmacy and delivered to them IN MINUTES.Users can also purchase over-the-counter medications on our app and have them delivered on-demand.Our \"Ask a pharmacist\" feature lets users communicate with licensed pharmacists and ask them medication-related questions. We also provide our pharmacy partners a platform to sell their over-the-counter items and increase sales and profitability. The pharmacy interface allows independent pharmacies to look at their patients and the prescriptions they have ordered. They can also upload Over The Counter (OTC) items offered by their pharmacy for people to search and order. Many pharmacies opt into this feature, so they can provide perks to their customers like free delivery. Also, if they have their own driver who is unavailable, they can instead use Pills2Me because it is on-demand.B2C In our B2C model, users make requests via our mobile app for their prescriptions to be picked up from any pharmacy and delivered to them in minutes. Are you trying to just disrupt the market for independents? I can appreciate you intend to grow out your services to include MTM, but given that pharmacists don't have provider status yet in NV (or in most states), I'm not sure that we can actually bill insurances(at least not CMS which would be a notable chunk of this population) for most if any of those services. To answer your questions: Prescription delivery is not a new thing. We're just making the entire process faster, more straightforward, seamless, and flexible for patients. The current processes in place have a lot of friction and inefficiencies. We pick up prescriptions from any pharmacy and have delivered thousands of prescriptions including from those companies you mentioned. Ask anyone who has tried using those other services before and see what their experiences are. Companies like Shipt were designed to deliver other items and are now adding prescription delivery to their services. We are focused on medication delivery and are building our software and processes from patients' feedback and my experience working for major pharmacy chains including the ones you mentioned above. Just like restaurants and food delivery companies, those chain pharmacies are delivery company agnostic and care more about getting medications to patients in a secure and efficient way which is what we are doing. Our goal is to become the leader in on-demand prescription delivery. Regarding MTM, we plan to launch the service in Q1 of 2022. And yes, pharmacists get reimbursed for MTM services. Here are some links to information showing pharmacists can provide and get reimbursed for MTM services: https://www.cdc.gov//pubs/guides/best-practices/pharmacist-mtm.htm https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Prescription-Drug-Coverage/PrescriptionDrugCovContra/MTM We have a National Provider Identifier Number (NPI) which will be used to bill health plans including CMS for the services. My primary concern (Q1) with your business model is the delivery fee. When this is charged to the consumer, it increases their cost to acquire the prescription significantly. When the fee is charged to the business, it cuts into their already thin margins. (Q2) Many pharmacies are designed and built to get people into their brick and mortar store so that they can upsell the customer on other products. There is a reason that CVS and Walgreens place the pharmacy at the back of the store and force you to walk by all their other products for sale. Why would pharmacies pass up on the ability to upsell the consumer on other goods (which have strong margins) and simultaneously cut into their margins by paying a subscription fee to provide free delivery? (Q3) Do you currently have agreements with any pharmacies to provide free delivery for a subscription fee? If so, how many? (Q4) I imagine that you'll need to provide rigorous training to your drivers (independent contractors?) and install stringent controls to be able to deliver certain prescriptions (narcotics). Additionally, until you can achieve reasonable customer density, how will you ensure your drivers make enough money to continue working with Pills2me? I guess I'm not convinced that the added training \u0026amp; expense that comes with ensuring you can deliver certain prescriptions is a good fit for the gig economy where worker turnover can be extremely high... https://www.businessinsider.com/uber-lyft-drivers-livable-wage-complaints-2019-5","author_name":"Nathan B","votes":3,"created_at":"2021-09-03T21:27:33Z","canonical_url":"https://wefunder.com/pills2me.3#question-167709","answers":[{"id":167884,"entity_id":"wefunder:comment:167884","answer":"Thanks for the questions Nathan. They are very thoughtful and I'm glad you asked them. I would like to start by saying that while delivery is our entry to market, we are more than just a prescription delivery company. We will offer other pharmacy services such as medication therapy management (MTM) which are reimbursable by insurance companies. The goal is to give patients access to all pharmacy services without the need to visit a physical location so delivery is our starting point. Find answers to your questions below: 1. - The delivery fee of $7.99 is actually not that much compared to the charges and fees users are already paying for other delivery services. For most people, our service is not just luxury. It's a necessity. Our users actually tip an average of $5 per delivery on top of the delivery fee so we think the price is reasonable. We also have a pharmacy we work with that charges the patients $10.99 for the on-demand delivery and pay us $7.99. However, we understand certain people may not be able to afford any type of delivery at all and we are working with other organizations to cover the delivery fees for this group. For example, some organizations are willing to cover the cost for seniors in need who are unable to afford the service. We are also working to have some insurance companies cover the delivery cost for certain high risk patients as this will increase medication adherence and decrease healthcare costs for them. - Almost all independent pharmacies offer free delivery to their patients to increase customer satisfaction and retention. When they use in-house drivers, they pay them hourly wages, buy delivery cars, and pay high insurance premiums for them. Using our service actually makes them more efficient and helps them save on those costs. We'll post testimonials from some of the pharmacy owners on how they benefit from our service. 2. - The brick and mortar model is actually going away and pharmacies know this. Most people are now comfortable purchasing anything from food to cars online and we are just giving them a way to get their medications without the need to visit a physical location. We are just following consumer behavior. By using our platform, pharmacies can increase sales of their over-the-counter (OTC) items without the need for foot traffic. Independent pharmacies which make up a third of the total pharmacies in the U.S do not have as much foot traffic as the big chains so they'll benefit more from our OTC feature. We are doing for pharmacies what DoorDash is doing for restaurants. Increasing their online presence and sales without high commissions. 3. We currently have five pharmacies signed up in Las Vegas during our pilot and are working to on-board more of them as part of our growth plan. The good thing about our model is that it's developed to function with or without those partnerships. That is, we can pick up prescriptions for patients from any pharmacy without having any partnership with the pharmacy. 4. You're correct, our delivery partners go through a rigorous background check and training before being allowed to deliver medications. We give them the same HIPAA training we give to pharmacy technicians. We've streamlined this process well enough over the past year and made it very efficient and cost effective. We use a mix of in-house (salaried) and independent contractors as drivers and they all go through the same process. We have incentives for driver retention which I can go over with you in greater detail in a call. Feel free to email me at Leslie@pills2me.com to talk more. I hope I answered all of your questions, but feel free to reach out if you need more clarifications. We are currently \"pre-revenue\" as most of our revenue so far has been generated from our pilot. We spent the past year focusing on doing free delivery to seniors and immunocompromised while building out our tech stack and perfecting our delivery model which is now ready to scale. Based on our pilot, we project an MRR within 6 months post fundraising to be around $50k and our ARR in 12 months to be around $1M+. (Note that projections are not guaranteed). Just an FYI, we plan to launch our subscription model in July and 62% of our users we've surveyed say they'll definitely switch to the subscription model. You're right on point about how much this is going to help a lot of patients who sometimes have to miss doses of their medications because they are waiting for pay day to be able to afford their copay. The Buy Now, Pay Later is covered by a third party that does the underwriting and approves the transaction. Once the user submits the request, the third party pays us the full amount and then collects the payment from the user later. This eliminates the risk to us. Our goal is to continue to find creative ways to remove barriers to medication adherence and build a community of loyal users while building a very profitable business.","author_name":"Leslie Asanga","votes":1,"created_at":"2021-06-05T09:07:27Z"}]},{"id":161697,"entity_id":"wefunder:comment:161697","question":"Amazon owns pillpack do you complete with them for business? No, we do not compete with Pillpack. We actually could be complementary services. Pillpack offers two days delivery for Prime members while we offer on-demand delivery from any pharmacy with guaranteed delivery within two hours of when we receive the order. Take, for example, someone who just got out of the emergency room or an urgent care. They're not waiting two days for their medications. That's the share of the market we mostly cater to. We help people who need their medications ASAP and many medications like antibiotics are time-sensitive. Plus, the on-demand economy is growing and people are used to getting everything else when they want it without having to wait days for it. I hope that answers your question, but feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
