## Q&A
- Q: I'm honestly trying to understand your model. You're a tech company developing tracking technology for personal luggage through a highly regulated airline international system, but after looking through your top team, I don't see much integration with your critical partners (yes, I see Fisher's relationship with KLM-Air France). Looking at your timeline, you should be exiting the design phase. From a development perspective, you should already be talking to airlines as to what they need from you to fit in with their systems. I know it's asking too much to explain your whole business in a single short wefunder page, so could you outline your collaborations with airlines here? Thanks, Jason
 - A: Jason, Thank you for your interest! Package, Inc. brought on Tusk Venture Partners as one of our lead investors because of their experience introducing disruptive products into highly regulated industries like the international airline and ride sharing industries. We are working with them to onboard a number of U.S. airlines and are in talks with two major airports regarding a pilot launch. Regarding the product design, all of the LuggageCam products are being developed to comply with FAA, TSA and IATA international airline standards for wireless electronic tracking devices to be used with both checked-in and carry-on luggage so that our products may be leased or sold directly to travelers. LuggageCam products are likely to require testing and regulatory approval by the TSA which we view as an advantage as it will enable the widespread adoption of LuggageCam products and services as the gold standard in real-time luggage tracking and security for the airline industry. Sincerely, Bryan
- Q: Bryan, If I remember correctly, you were the CEO of Eyecam which was fundraising on Crowdfunder…. I know crowdfunder doesn’t exist anymore but what happened to Eyecam ? Are you going to focus on that or this venture ?
 - A: Thanks Sagar, Yes, eyeCam's IP portfolio is in development. Presently we are focused on bringing LuggageCam and the Package, Inc. products to market.
- Q: Reviewing model and features. I think is a great idea! have you considered maybe a more simple version of this product before the full developement with all the items you have specified to see how will work with end users and other purchasing agents of product? I think you could reduce cost quite a bit with removal of voice and camera technology as you have showing which may bring more to this product as time comes.
 - A: Thanks Dave! Yes, we are building a range of lower cost models with fewer features.
- Q: I am wondering. looking at your raise it has basically stayed the same. do you have any other places that you are advertising, free sources that can drive people here? what is the magic number etc you need to raise etc?
 - A: Thanks John! We are preparing to launch a large marketing campaign in a few weeks. Feel free to contact us directly at info@package.inc and we will keep you posted.
- Q: Bryan, I have logged a lot of skymiles in my career and had luggage lost or misplaced and routineley not on time for work. AirFrance completely lost my bags before. Last June I had fallen asleep in a hotel lobby in San Diego waiting for my suits/bags to arrive (. I was told by airline oh around 6pm when I arrived at SAN at 4pm with no bags...she showed at 2am in the morning.. )after hosting an event in sweaty travel clothing. "WheresMySUitcase" is GARBAGE. The courier girl said "I saw your texts I didn't have time to respond" as I texted a half dozen times and called the phone # multiple times.. as I watched her dot around the GasLamp on a rudimentary crude map ad. PURE GARBAGE. So I get there's need for disruption and I like it.. but I also get Jason's Q below. To your point " LuggageCam products are likely to require testing and regulatory approval by the TSA which we view as an advantage as it will enable the widespread adoption of LuggageCam products and services as the gold standard in real-time luggage tracking and security for the airline industry." There's a lot of regulatory hurdle here. The forward thinking tech will surely created some more hurdles. Why bother with the camera, an expensive item that could get broken. (FYI.. I refueled planes and thru bags for airlines as a kid. There's nothing will stop bag damage.) Having GPS and security tracking seems adequate. ANything with a lens that's an accident waiting to get broken. Seems an oversight and real-time data storage local or in the cloud .. would have connection issues to stream that amount of data or local storage just seems added cost with low ROI. This becomes a DTC pitch. The airlines could comply on REgs. But if it's priced right I could see it sold at kiosks or like the mall in Zurich where I had to get some expensive wall charger/converters last spring.. What do you have worked out for B2B and DTC. Not relying on or needing any input from airlines, TSA, etc. As long as you're compliant with FAA, Fed Regs, they're not required to participate in a biz model. What would a retail cost be on average to cover one bag annually (all hardward/apps/support) ? For those of us who travel quarterly for business, this is something that makes a lot of sense and eases the mind. The airlines have gone to crap. I just tried to get a hold of JetBlue to fix a seat issue.. good luck. They used to be reliant. So while I like the overall ideology and tech plan .. the holes I see are timing, cost, overkill and Regulation hurdles delaying launch. ------------ JUST READ so EDITING POST (John, Thank you for the follow up! The LuggageCam per-unit production costs are projected to range from about $63 for the $99 base SmartClip device to about $189 for the $299 high-end SmartClip Pro depending on networking, memory, security and other features and our per-unit profit margins are projected to range from about 18% to 27% not including monthly subscriptions and insurance revenue.) Do you have a document that breaks all that down ? Mo. Sub costs. What Insurance provider is your partner>
 - A: Thank you Mark! Yes, the need and demand for LuggageCam is widespread and growing not only for airlines and airports but for cruise lines, hotels and the entire travel industry. Package, Inc. is building a comprehensive solution with the LuggageCam product line that includes a basic version of the SmartClip luggage tracking and security system that does not include a camera, will be entirely FAA, TSA and IATA compliant on day one and will not require regulatory approval so that we are able to speed up our time to market and meet the needs of travelers and airlines worldwide. Our B2B and DTC model is focused on online sales, airports and hotels. We are presently in talks with U.S. and international airports to introduce LuggageCam kiosks into the baggage check-in area, enabling travelers to purchase our products where they are needed most. As we expand to more locations, we will introduce a product leasing program with LuggageCam drop-off locations placed in airport baggage claim areas. Regarding our luggage insurance service – LuggageInsure, we will make an announcement as soon as we finalize terms with an insurance provider. The LuggageCam monthly subscription services and pricing will range from $3.99 to $9.99 per month based on data streaming and storage options and security services. We will be publicizing our consumer pricing model later this year when we launch our pre-sales campaign.
- Q: I agree with Dave. What gets many companies is instead of just having a basic model then later adding more stuff depending on customer reaction etc. they have a basic version and a more complex version. Best to just do a basic version then worry about adding stuff later. You spend all that money and time developing a product with extra features etc then the market doesn't accept it like you think. Yeah it is best to just have a basic version only then add stuff later, you should be able to track customer info. See how people actually react vs assuming many will love it. Lastly, you gave me the cost to produce them just not how many you can produce monthly etc.
 - A: Thank you John, Good suggestion! Regarding weekly production numbers, they will initially be tied to the number of units sold during the LuggageCam pre-sales campaign which we are preparing to launch later this year.
- Q: with you guys friday! normal investment day!
 - A: Thank you John!
- Q: i have a request. can once a month or so can we have a zoom where investors can share ideas etc. as i look at crowdfunding sites, i invested in a ton of companies and some as a vc. on the crowdfunding side very rarely do investors actually make a return or one that really matters. nobody wants to invest 100 just to get back 200 in 5 years. cause the minimum being so low and especially being a small percent of whatever you end up raising. you will have to do millions upon millions in profit for them to see a halfway decent return.maybe the once a month meetings etc will help. i see the partner with us page. do you have any kind of ambassador, affiliate program or something. all the companies i invested that have it it works big time! the partner with us. is that the same? i know some companies it says affiliate, ambassador program on website. thanks for your time!
 - A: Thanks John, Great suggestion! We are planning to introduce partner calls in a few months and we are setting up a Package Partnership Program that will offer incentives to partners who take an active role in developing, marketing, testing and investing in our products and company. Regarding return on investment, Package, Inc. is building a portfolio of products and companies offering multiple returns for our investors.
- Q: Does the company have any patents or patent pending's for its product?
 - A: Thanks Binyamin, Yes, we have 1 issued utility patent, 6 pending domestic and international patents and over 25 patents in preparation covering our product portfolio.
- Q: thanks for response. "production costs will vary based on product and model", no kidding. do you have that info that you can share, one product or something? what are your margins etc. thanks for your time.
 - A: John, Thank you for the follow up! The LuggageCam per-unit production costs are projected to range from about $63 for the $99 base SmartClip device to about $189 for the $299 high-end SmartClip Pro depending on networking, memory, security and other features and our per-unit profit margins are projected to range from about 18% to 27% not including monthly subscriptions and insurance revenue.
- Q: thanks
 - A: Thank you Syran
- Q: good stuff, i travel every 3 weeks for leisure and i have connects this would be nice just had some questions. 1. pilot launch(how long) 2.testing and regulatory approval by tsa(how long) 3.revenue share program, is that a certain percent split or it varies depending on deal. 4. have you tested for people that travel a ton like me how many are constantly leasing one or more of the product. i am probably not going to get one everytime i travel. any loyalty thing or something. it could get expensive fast leasing one each time. 5. what is the cost to produce one. how many can you produce where ever you make product 6.vending machine and kiosk(how much to produce each etc, all cost associated with that)
 - A: Thanks John! 1. We expect to launch our pilot in the next 18 months (Q2 2025) 2. 12-18 months. 3. Yes, revenue sharing will depend on the deal. 4. Yes, we are building a loyalty program and launching InvestCard, our custom credit card, investment and incentives platform. Members, Investors and select Customers will receive special discounts and rewards for purchasing and leasing Package, Inc. products and services. 5. The price of the LuggageCam products currently range from $99 to $399 and the production costs will vary based on product and model. 6. We are currently selecting a vending machine company to offer this service and pricing will be determined based on vendor.
- Q: Hello, very interesting concept! Two quick questions around the smartTag: 1) How durable is/will it be. It looks like a lot of scratched, cracked, and broken screens/devices going around an airport conveyor belt? 2) Is the Digital Luggage Tag meant to replace the traditional bag check process? Can a user "Check-in" online 24 hours before a flight and get a digital bag tag along with boarding pass, avoiding bag check lines, and saving time and money for passengers and airlines? Ie. Just drop bags at check-in and go to TSA? Thank You!
 - A: Thanks Conrad! 1) Very durable. We are developing the SmartTag with a flexible display and robust outer casing that is replaceable when scratched or damaged. 2) Yes! And in addition to expediting the check-in process, SmartTag will offer real-time on luggage alerts such as flight status, gate changes, baggage handling instructions and more to prevent mishandled luggage and support airlines in ensuring your luggage arrives at the correct destination and into the right hands.
- Q: Are there processes or mechanisms to turn off tracking when not in use/not traveling?
 - A: Yes! Thanks Tameka
- Q: Where can I find more technical details regarding the technology that is being used, and the actual measurements of what each device would look like? Thanks
 - A: William, Thank you for your interest! We are currently building multiple models of the SmartClip, SmartTag and SmartLock product lines and we have not published the measurements as they are likely to change during our pilot testing phase. Please visit our website www.package.inc for additional information on our products and services.
