Founders, Alex and Tim, have spent more than 20 years creating digital content for corporations, entertainment, and interiors. The tools, workflows, and people needed to produce content are too technical, slow, and manual. In their previous studio they dealt with lack of scalability and created MOD to automate these tools for efficiency.

A mobile + cloud-based software that makes 3D in minutes.


Take photos with any camera or the MOD 3D Scanner on Android and iOS then upload to automated cloud processing and download your 3D file. Great for AR, VR, NFTs, Virtual Goods, 360 Views, and more with a special file that is portable to any virtual world with an infinite quality.

3D content creation is not scalable because it requires many highly-skilled specialists, complex workflows which have 5 or more specialized software licenses, are are very slow producing a maximum of 6 assets per week given that each one takes about 12hours of art and processing.

MOD will be the gold standard for digitizing imagery beyond virtual commerce entering other markets that may include media, architecture, geospatial, medical, space, and beyond. As we form deeper relationships in the 3D ecosystem we will become a foundational tool for the simplification of 3D and the interoperable capability of file types that can go throughout Web3 and the Metaverse.

We’ve developed our platform and the proprietary algorithms with more the 166TB(!) of data into over 43 automated microservices.

Mod Tech Labs has operated in compliance with trade secret practices. After consulting with patent attorneys we have come to the conclusion that we have about 20 tent-pole patents and about 100 defensible claims. The machine learning algorithms that we have created are a highly defensible part of our overall solution increasing speed, image quality, and reducing the complexity of capture.

We already have partnerships with hardware, software, and platforms connecting brands and consumers with the infrastructure and tools for Web3 and the Metaverse. Plus the groups making standards for the way the new virtual landscape will be built.

All our competitors are relying on manual processes for post-processing and finalizing assets. They are not using photo-realism at scale and do not have the ability to create interoperable file types.

The biggest barrier to adding photo-realism to any company is training/lack of talent this is overcome with tools that do not require technical users to operate. Allowing users to output interoperable files optimized for any use case makes the possibilities endless. 

As we gain champions through app use, MOD will become a tool for 3D platforms with a virtual commerce component we move to a transactional sale and Account Based Marketing. Our enterprise subscription model is geared toward an API product, but may also include white label apps, and/or licensing + royalties. Price is based on the number of assets and amount of data being processed and a recurring subscription starts at $5k per month and up (average annual likely north of $100,000).

Another revenue stream will be the professionals users of the app. Which is a SaaS based subscription, each between $50-$200/month based again on number of files created and access to web other premium services.

MOD is leveraging a product led growth strategy with a scanning app that is widely accessible and has brought 99% organic inbound traffic. The app has a free trial with limited features and can be upgraded to include professional features including a customizable web interface, but this limits the ability of the user to scale past 100 scans per month. These primarily are self-serve products that show the ease of automated 3D cloud processing with MOD.
