Overly complicated processes mean civic engagement requires too much effort for voters to be effective and stay involved. We’re left with barren mudslinging and special interests deciding for us.It’s all noise, no listening. And most of us feel it’s only getting worse.In the current system, the onus of involvement falls on the voters. You have to figure out how it works in each systems’ individual process map. You have to seek out the community meetings, research the players, start the petitions, and send emails into the void.At the end of the day, the vast majority of effort goes unanswered and without impact. We are a "freemium" product with an overwhelming majority of the features being free to use and we expect a majority of our users to not ever pay. Similar to Dropbox where only ~4% of users pay for the service. Megaphone+ is the premium version starting at $3.00 a month. 2. **How do you guys have an expense of 3k a month while having 4 people working? and then suddenly the expense go to 125k a month after raising additional capital? How can you know you will be able to raise 1m? What happens if you don't?**
   - Minh, We are not paying ourselves yet, it's all sweat equity. The expenses go up in order to pay engineers and sales people. I don't think anyone on this platform knows for certain how much they will raise in total. However, given conversations we've had with potential investors, it is a reasonable goal. If we don't hit the full million we'll still be able to finish the dashboard and app. Our rollout would be smaller, focusing on a couple states at first and then grow to additional states as ...

Not sure of another monitization mechanism. Maybe subscription memberships can be granted to those that stay consistently engaged as well. earn their subscription so to speak, especially since sites like this only work if they remain active.

Through using gamification, free users will even be able to earn Megaphone+ by being active on the platform. I want this in the hands of as many people as possible.
