## Story
Seeking Persephone is based on the novel by Sarah M. Eden, the USA Today best-selling author of more than seventy five witty and charming historical romances, which have sold over one million copies worldwide. The screenplay was adapted by Sarah. Seeking Persephone is the first book in the Lancaster series.2,483 backers on Kickstarter pledged $234,227 to help bring this project to life.There is a demand for Historical Dramas!Filming fully completed—now in post-production. With the money raised on Kickstarter, sets were built, costumes were designed and constructed, and on-set filming was completed.Filming took place on location in England, bringing these stunning Regency settings to life—now we’re in post-production.Making a period film is no small endeavor. Just 1 episode of Bridgerton cost 7 million dollars. The most recent adaptation of Emma was 10 million dollars.Our plan for Seeking Persephone is to complete the film for just shy of 1 million dollars. Our goal for Seeking Persephone is to raise $800,000 to film the remaining portion of the film, complete post-production and secure distribution. By keeping the cost down, it will greatly increase the likelihood our investors will make a return on their investment.Future projections are not guaranteed.Who can invest in this project?Anyone can invest as little as $100 in this project!How do you receive a return on your investment?When the movie is completed, we will shop around to find the best fit and deal for Seeking Persephone. Our films have sold to Universal Pictures, Netflix, Amazon, The CW, Hallmark, Lifetime, UpTV, and more. Money for films used to be made through DVD sales, but now movies can make their money through Television Rights, Streaming, and VOD. Once costs are recouped, the first revenues returned to Lancaster's LLC go entirely to the investors. Investors will receive a 100% of their initial investment plus a 15% Return on Investment. When the investors have received a cumulative 115% of their original investment, all profit participants will be split 50/50 between investors and “the filmmakers.” “The filmmakers” include actors, writers, directors, and producers of the film.Investors will continue to receive income over the entire profit-earning life of the film. Future projections are not guaranteed.

   - Investing in film can be lucrative but also risky. Our budget for a period romance is incredibly low. By keeping the cost down, it will increase the likelihood our investors will make a return on their investment. As far as timeline, it greatly depends on who is the distributor and when they release the film. Many of my previous projects have been profitable. However, some have not. I saw on the Kickstarter there were some pretty cool and unique perks. I like the first-tier option here to have your name in the credits. Would it be possible to get a physical film poster signed by the cast and author as well?  6.) When is the last day to invest?  7.) After the release of the film, how often will updates be given? 8.) It depends on how the remaining films are financed - If we go through Wefunder again or if a distributor funds the remaining films in the series. 5.) Would it be possible to get a physical film poster signed by the cast and author as well? Every Wefunder investor will get their name in the credits. The other perks were just for Kickstarter backers. 6.) When is the last day to invest? That has not been decided with Wefunder yet. 7.) After the release of the film, how often will updates be given? At least quarterly. 8.) Are you aiming for a theatrical or streaming release? It will most likely be a streaming release as the cost to go theatrical is very expensive. 9.) What sort of MPAA rating are you aiming for with the film? The film will most likely receive a PG.

- Q: I don't have a question, just want to say this was one of the first book historical romance books I read like 10 years ago and it is SO SO GOOD. Sarah Eden has some amazing books. Delightful to read. It's such a shame that more clean historical romance books are not made into movies or TV shows. Most of what is made is complete crap, totally uninteresting and unromantic. They all got lazy. It's exciting to see this story could become a movie!
