## Story
Pawara Chivapat, who goes by the nickname "Pink" is half of the namesake of the restaurant Pink Bee Curry & Sandwiches, a family-owned restaurant bringing an authentic infusion of Thai flavor to the Ballard neighborhood. They're one of the businesses in our Intentionalist Gift Card network!Darnesha, Erwin, and Mikayla Weary are the family behind Black Coffee Northwest in Shoreline, WA. More than a coffee shop, Black Coffee Northwest is a community hub that puts its values front and center, bringing people together to advance social justice. We featured them on our blog in April & they're a part of our online marketplace so users can support them directly. We also regularly get awesome shoutouts on our social media accounts & have amassed a considerable following – most notably with 17K on Instagram!Tess Thomas is the owner of Emma's BBQ in Seattle, WA. As part of our Black History Month celebration, we ran a promotion with our partner, the Seattle Storm – opening a $250 tab at the restaurant for fans to get a sandwich on us. Community members donated to triple the tab, and social media marketing helped to more than double Emma's BBQ overall sales for the week.In July, we partnered with the City of Seattle to welcome the community back to Chinatown-International District with Welcome Back coupons, which were good for up to $10 off purchases from participating businesses in Chinatown-International District. Pictured above is the team at Jade Garden dim sum in Seattle!Storytelling creates the connections that build community. We want to provide patrons with a glimpse of the people and stories behind the businesses they support. Above is a business listing example for Retail Therapy of Seattle.

## Q&A
- Q: Hello, I invested a small amount as a small business owner just to support the mission, and would be interested to find out the following: 1) If you compare Q1 20, Q1 21, and Q1 22 how are your revenues looking - Is Q1 22 more like Q1 20, or double of Q1 21, etc? 2) I see you have worked on Intententionalist since 2017 and in 5 years got to $600K revenues and $8M valuation. Since you are involved in three other gigs as a principal or a board member, and kind of not focused on just one thing, is it correct to assume that the same growth pace of revenues and valuation will continue onward, or are you putting in place team and systems to start expanding to other locations and achieve an explosive / exponential revenue and valuation growth such as 30% or more month-over-month at some point? 3) How hard or how easy is it to generate revenue with your business model? When I had a software business, I had to make 100 calls to close 1 sale, with my apartment rentals, I post 1 free ad, get 100 calls within 2 days, generate 10 qualified applicants, and rent to 1 of them. Does your business sell like hot cakes (my rental business), or is little hard to make a sale / generate revenue (my software business)?
 - A: 1) Thanks for supporting our mission. Our revenue growth since 2020 has been substantial. 2021 Q1 revenue was 30X 2020 Q1 revenue. 2022 Q1 revenue was nearly 2X 2021 Q1 revenue, even though we are actually down an FTE. 2) Intentionalist is, and has been my priority since its founding. With this raise, we will finally be able to invest in the engineering resources that will facilitate the automation required for us to scale. We will also be adding a resource to help with small business engagement so that I can focus on growing the strategic partnerships that accelerate our growth. I serve on the board of directors of two nonprofit organizations. Mighty Whale Ventures was a consulting LLC through which I accepted a few projects from 2017-2019. 3) To date our growth has been organic, driven largely by word of mouth, our social media presence, and partners (like all six of Seattle's professional sports teams, the City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development, Amazon, Remitly, BECU, Seattle University) have all reached out to us. Companies, local government, and community based organizations reach out to us because they are looking for a trusted partner to: - Provide more meaningful employee/client/volunteer incentives and rewards - Demonstrate their commitment to economic inclusion - Walk the talk when it comes to support for diverse communities
