- Q: Interesting concept, and I wouldn't mind giving it a go or two, but I see a big problem with this IMO. In my experience, women RARELY read my profile. They only look at the pictures. Which to me tells me that at the beginning, they don't really care if you're a match. They base their first impression on looks, and then they want to see how well you can charm them without saying too much about yourself. Because if you start telling your interests and hobbies, then they're gone. But that's my experience, and granted, I am not gen z. I'm 37. But the big problem I see with this approach is that in my mind, it seems like it would cause more depression in women. Because although you say 80% dont care about looks, at least 80% of men DO. So this is what I think will happen on your app. Girl starts talking to a guy. Guy seems nice. They get to talking a LOT. Turns out this guy is everything she's been looking for. At last, the photos are revealed. Guy never responds anymore. Guy realized she was not what he was expecting at all and now he's outta there. Girl is left feeling depressed cause this has now happened to her for the 10th time so now she's done with the app. Don't get me wrong. I wish I could find a soul mate too, but everyone has their visual types and standards they are looking for in a mate. You did a lot of research on the girls, but did you do any research on the guys? All I see is research done on the girls. The thing about a dating app, is that it requires male and female users. Unless you want to make it strictly lesbian app, then maybe this could work. All I know, as a male, is that men will try this, never find what THEY'RE looking for, and never return. Do you realize you're not just creating an app for females? This involves males too. I think it will end badly for a lot of these poor girls. I hate to be a downer, cause I really do kind of like the idea, but I feel like this would cause more damage than good for the girls who use this. Let's hope I'm wrong.
