# Graff Golf

The World's First Smart Golf Ball and Analytics Platform.

## Elevator pitch
We produce smart golf balls. When you hit a Graff Golf smart golf ball, the shot data is recorded to your profile on our smartphone app. The app analyzes the data and generates actionable insight on how you can most efficiently improve your game. Using the app, you can see potential issues in your swing, what is likely causing them, and useful drills and videos to improve. The more shots you hit, the more accurate the analysis becomes.

## FAQ
1. **Tell me what I might expect in benefits for my investment...I know no promises or guarantees, but what can I expect for my investment...it's an investment I want to know what type of return to expect**
 - Hi John, Thank you for reaching out. The investment opportunity is a SAFE, which is a type of convertible note. Because we are a pre-revenue company, it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to put a valuation on our company. A SAFE was developed for this reason exactly. The terms are set for a $2.5M valuation cap and a 25% discount. The valuation cap is the MOST the company will be valued at when pricing the stock you will get at the next equity financing. This means that the next time ...
2. **Hi! What is proprietary? Are you a licensing play? Thanks**
 - Hi Douglas! Thanks for reaching out. While we are open to different potential opportunities, our initial go-to-market plan is to launch our own golf ball. We are in the final stages of obtaining a patent that protects us regarding the electronics embedded inside of a golf ball.
3. **Hi, great idea. My kids have used smart basketballs and the technology was accurate and useful. I have three questions: 1. Can you elaborate on what will differentiate you from competitors - What specifically will your AI do that will give you an advantage? 2. Have you measure...**
 - Hi Alan, Just to elaborate on how the AI works - we are developing a machine learning module that takes a golfer's profile (average distances, etc.) and can derive insight into what may have gone wrong in a swing based on the resulting shot data. We are using a robot testing facility to gather data from ~15,000 shots to build this feature of the technology. The end goal is to provide the user with specific and actionable feedback on their swing. For example, "Your least efficient club was you...
4. **Hi, I appreciate the answers and I'm quite interested. It does seem that OnCore has a similar product out, but you beat them on price and (I think) functionality. Am I correct, and how will your AI further that? Also, I meant to ask: Have you tested the product for durability ...**
 - Hi Alan - Yes, OnCore is attempting to develop a similar product. However, while it is similar, they are going about it in a very different direction. Their goal is to produce a ball in the performance golf ball sector, this stays consistent with their current products. They are not aiming to break into the training industry. As you noted, our AI will further the differences between our two products. We will be interpreting the data and suggesting improvements from there, whereas OnCore will ...
5. **Have you filed any patents yet?**
 - Hi Patrick - Yes, we have filed for a patent about 6 months ago. We have had some very positive calls with our examiner and are hoping to hear back in the coming weeks.

## Q&A
- Q: What is the exit plan? And do you intend to pay dividends down the road?
- Q: Sorry if I missed this information somewhere, but what do you guys see as the actual quality/ consistency/ forgiveness of the ball itself vs a regular golf ball? Has there been testing done to determine anything compared to another ball? Even as an average golfer I can feel a pretty significant difference between hitting a ball at top golf vs nicer balls out on the course. The last thing I would want is a ball I don’t even truly want to play on the course. Also, what’s the number of full swing hits the typical ball might be able to expect before either technology or exterior failures/ performance loss? If this is meant more as a training aid, the majority of the golfing community would probably fall in the occasional player category and wouldn’t be utilizing rounds for “training” or trying to learn more about their swing if the ball was not the giving the same performance. Others have said it as well but could see this more likely gaining traction with driving ranges or instructors. It would almost need a video or something to connect to the club if not done in front of an instructor as well and a way to analyze video/ swing path or pay instructors to analyze with the numbers your ball generates. Charging more for the use of these on the range and have something to differentiate to easily separate from regulars. One time analytics can be purchased after type deal or basic stuff given from driving range. If these kind of things aren’t done I see it probably being a small market of people, better avid golfers that are looking to just get the fine tuning done on their game, but they would need a private place to be hitting and collecting the ball. Or the balls would need to have the same performance as premium balls because that type of golfer is going to be even more critical of performance on the course. You don’t see someone playing in a qualifier with a top flight.. thanks in advance for any insight.
- Q: Why have I not received my order for the product That I paid to have shipped?
- Q: Any new UPDATES?
- Q: Can I get a golfball?
- Q: Any updates???
 - A: Yes! The first inventory order has been placed and we are currently awaiting delivery. We are receiving 75 expedited units in December to send to beta testers and the full order of 6,000 in March.
- Q: Will there be a 2nd chance to invest in your company?
- Q: Is it too late to invest?
- Q: GraffGolf (GG) is still in completing the development stage of the "technology" Your burn rate, is $8,000/Mon. Granted that by the closing of the current wefunder campaign you will have successfully reached $55,000. $10,000 goes to relieve your current debt. You'll need new capital again in another 5 to 6 months. Can you elaborate on where GG will be at that point?
- Q: When is the campaign over
 - A: Hi Xavier! Thank you for reaching out. The campaign is closing next Friday, January 17. Let us know if you have any questions regarding the investment! Aaron
- Q: Hello. What would be the major difference between this and Oncore golf balls?
 - A: Hi Bryan - While OnCore's GENiUS ball will report on the same shot metrics that we are collecting, they don't have any plans to develop an analytics platform like ours. Instead, users will really only be able to share their shots to social media. This positions their product as more of a novelty ball than a training tool. In addition, OnCore's team consists of individuals with golf and industry expertise rather than engineering backgrounds. While they have a very successful business selling standard balls, this has made it challenging for them to solve some of the technical issues required to build a smart golf ball for live play. By putting together a team of primarily engineers, we believe we have solved these critical issues. Let us know if you have any other questions! -Mike
- Q: Are you planning to apply to any of the startup accelerators like YCombinator and/ or attend any tech shows like CES? Do you get any mentorship as part of winning the start up competition?
 - A: Hi Sachin - Applying to an accelerator is certainly something our team would be interested in doing. While the competition is obviously extremely intense for an accelerator like YCombinator, it could be something we pursue as we continue to progress the company. To answer your second question, yes, we have received mentorship from winning the start-up competition. Due to our founding team being based out of Johns Hopkins, we have a large amount of industry leading resources at our disposal. We have been incredibly lucky to leverage professors and connections to further our company in the best way possible. Thank you for reaching out and let us know if you have any other questions! Aaron
- Q: I love the idea and concept. I was reading under the "risks" and 7-11 on the list each say that all 5 of your team members are part time. I want to invest but I also want to know that you are all in and not just part time with Graff Golf. When do any of you plan on being full time to make sure Graff Golf goes to the next level? Thanks for the clarification. This is a great idea and the future of golf.
 - A: Hi Michael - Thank you for reaching out. We definitely understand your concern that none of the team members are full-time. With that being said, the founding team members are all students at the time. Being students, we are able to be extremely flexible and put an emphasis on the company. Everyone here at Graff is certainly very passionate about the company and building it out to ensure that Graff Golf grows to its greatest potential. Thank you and let me know if you have any additional thoughts or questions! Aaron
- Q: I have a few questions. 1) How is your ball technology different than TopGolf and DriveShack? 2)Can their ball manufacturer replicate their electronics to better yours? 3) Is your AI going to be able to differentiate between right handed and left handed player as swings will be different? 4) Is subscription only model too restrictive and do you plan to do retail if someone just want to buy balls to try out ?
 - A: Hi Girish - I'd be happy to answer your questions. 1) TopGolf uses RFID technology. These sensors can determine when the RFID passes through a predetermined spot, however, it the technology cannot be implemented in a typically golf setting. Furthermore, the technology is not capable of reading or reporting on analytics. 2) While TopGolf has access to vast resources and could certainly attempt to develop their own 'smart' golf ball, this is not within their business model. TopGolf reports on when the ball lands in a certain spot, they do not have a need to report on detailed analytics of the ball. 3) The AI will be specific to the golfer, i.e. their dominate hand, their skill level, etc. 4) We do not currently have plans to expand into retail. The balls will exclusively be sold through our website. Thank you and let me know if you have any additional questions! Aaron
- Q: Thanks Aaron. I look forward to the product launch (especially how you overcome ball performance and expand to other sports)
