- Q: How is this different from the chip you can put in an animal body
  - A: Hi Deborah, Great question! Glad you asked it. Unfortunately, microchip is not a perfect technology even if implemented well (not the case for the US). We thought of ways to describe the current state of the microchip industry by could not do it better than Dr. Patty Khuly, a practising veterinarian, in her article here: http://www.drpattykhuly.com/columns-and-posts/2015/9/13/vkdw0uu0iz7rven3t088452qgho9q8 Apart from being an invasive solution that may cause some unpleasant consequences, there are still lots of pets without microchips and not every owner wants to implant one. Microchip only works if it is implanted and registered before the pet is lost and, by itself, it is very cumbersome and manual technology. At Findpet we foresee that pets can be identified by anyone who has a decent camera (everyone has a smartphone now) and, once identified, searched automatically across local shelters and databases of lost and found pets without additional manual input. We believe that Computer Vision will help us on our mission to return every lost pet back home.
