Recently, the Founder of Riemann Computing Inc. (myself) received a Notice of Publication for patent application 19/183,801, which typically precedes a potential Notice of Allowance. This patent pertains to a proprietary methodology for analyzing electroencephalogram (EEG) data and facilitating clinical diagnosis and prognosis. You may be wondering, what does this have to do with AI and data compression? Why EEG illustrates the challengeA 256-channel, ultra-high-density EEG system can generate approximately 1.54 MB of data per second per patient, depending on its sampling configuration. The data rate is determined by:Data rate = Number of channels × Sampling frequency (Hz) × Bytes per sampleMultiply that rate by the recording duration, and the scale of the data challenge becomes clear.Imagine an algorithm related to EEGs and specialized headsets running in sync with Signal Computing for Near-Real Time Telemetry with more and more data being compressed, analyzed, and processed. EEGs also have various different types of file formats for their data. EEG is one application. The broader opportunity is to improve how data moves through multiple different applications, fields and industries. One ecosystem, four connected areas of developmentRiemann Computing is building an integrated ecosystem to address data-intensive computing challenges across industries. Our development efforts span four areas: Data Compression — Specialized compression and lossless and lossy codecs designed to achieve high compression ratios. Signal Computing — Our computing paradigm, being developed to support efficient data processing and near-real-time telemetry. NTK Trainer — An initiative focused on model weights and more cost-effective approaches to training AI at scale. LonScript — A programming language with built-in mathematical capabilities, designed to support specialized computational tasks and the scaling of algorithms. We are developing these technologies around a common goal: improving how data is analyzed, processed, transmitted, stored, and modeled. This is not targeting isolated tasks, as opposed to connected parts of a larger system.Built for the long termRiemann Computing’s ambition extends beyond a single product or industry. We are working toward a coordinated technology ecosystem that addresses the demands of increasingly complex data and AI workloads. Our direction is clear: build the underlying technologies, demonstrate their capabilities, and deliver measurable value. We intend to earn confidence in our vision through execution.Announcements may be coming soon.As always, none of this is investment or financial advice. Please do your own due diligence and research.
