AI is changing what students need from school. New scholarship funding could change who can access it. Changemaker Education is building for this moment. Our Wefunder round is closing on October 28. There are just 6 days left to invest to help us equip more educators to launch microschools that prepare children for a changing world. Two powerful shifts are coming together: a growing need for education that develops our uniquely human capabilities, and a new federal scholarship funding pathway opening in 2027.1. AI is raising the stakes for human development. As AI reshapes how we work, create, and solve problems, we believe the next generation needs an education that develops curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to connect with others.Children also need to understand themselves, navigate uncertainty, and make thoughtful decisions when there isn’t one clear answer. That’s why our Mind Body Soul curriculum is central to every Changemaker partner microschool. Our distinctive approach brings academic learning and whole-child development together, helping children build the confidence, self-awareness, and sense of purpose to shape their futures. Our Mind Body Soul curriculum includes lessons in leadership development, emotional intelligence, and nervous system regulation, helping students learn to lead with empathy, navigate their emotions, and respond to stress with greater awareness and resilience.2. A new scholarship funding pathway opens in 2027.Beginning January 1, the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit will encourage donations to eligible scholarship-granting organizations in participating states, helping fund qualifying K–12 education expenses.New projections from Democrats for Education Reform illustrate the potential scale: approximately $25.8 billion annually nationwide at 15% participation among the taxpayers modeled, assuming all states participate. These are scenarios, not committed funding, and participation will take time to build. For eligible families and microschools, this could create a meaningful new path to affordability and access. Changemaker Education is actively engaging with scholarship and policy organizations to explore new funding pathways for families at our partner microschools. The connection between these two shifts is why this moment matters. Families need access to learning environments that prepare children for a changing world. Educators need the curriculum, operational support, and community to build those environments successfully. That is the work Changemaker Education is doing.Building strong schools takes preparation. Supporting founders takes infrastructure. We’re building that capacity now so more communities can be ready as these opportunities unfold. As our Wefunder round approaches its close, we invite you to help us meet this moment.Invest in Changemaker Education and help more children access an education built for their whole humanity and their future.
