Greg Dale here, CTO of Sempresto. Like some of you, I’m also the parent of children with food allergies who depend on epinephrine autoinjectors. Our family has made several trips to the ER. Each time taught me the same thing: emergency medicine only helps if you have it with you. As a design engineer, I’m drawn to problems that are simple to describe and hard to do right. Combining medical-device drug delivery with a consumer phone comes with serious human factors questions. Those are the questions I spend my time answering. I’ve commercialized more than a dozen life science and medical device products, so I know how much work sits between a good idea and a device people can trust.Sempresto’s progress is encouraging. We have a working prototype, and it earned a 2026 Red Dot Design Award.Nowadays, almost no one leaves home without their phone. Keeping epinephrine on the phone could change whether patients have it when it counts. That could have an outsized impact on healthcare. It’s protected, too. Sempresto holds 15 issued patents, with more pending, covering how an autoinjector attaches to a mobile device. That secures the idea and gives us room to expand in this market. We’re raising on Wefunder to move from prototype to product, with launch targeted for 2028. Investments start at $100 → wefunder.com/sempresto Together, we can help make sure the epinephrine is there when the moment comes, for all of our allergy families. Best,Greg DaleCTO, SemprestoSempresto’s autoinjector is investigational. It has not been approved by FDA and is not available for sale.
